I've learned that people on BSN think that:
- Cerberus is a bigger threat than the Reapers.
- all Renegade players = racist pro-Cerberus defense squad.
- disagreeing with a Paragon decision = z0mg EVIL Renegade player racist Cerberus supporter without a soul and with no moral values.
- the Illusive Man = z0mg EVIL. You should hate him.
- if you don't hate the Illusive Man, or if you try to defend him in any way, you're z0mg EVIL Renegade player racist Cerberus supporter without a soul and with no moral values.
- improved combat and shooter elements = catering to the "CoD audience".
- multiplayer = catering to the "CoD audience".
- improved cover-system = "z0mg Gears of War ripoff!" while at the same time:
- Mass Effect and Gears of War have NOTHING in common and you're stupid if you compare the two game series. Also:
- Mass Effect is better than Gears of War anyway. Gears of War is only played by the "CoD audience".

That a group of humans even in a place of anonymous feedback can be self-governing in their interactions with each other. That the stances of morality and the best and worst of human nature can be explored, explained and understood in a place that has long replaced the steps of Athens where public education was held. That more has been learned here than any high school could provide and the truth, while often delivered harshly and cruelly, can be relied upon with swiftness and accuracy.
I have come to truly enjoy the feedback of others and have frequently visited for the way people have piqued my curiosity in what they know and reveal. They, in return, have helped me learn in a way I could not in isolation, reinforcing the belief that one cannot know oneself without others to reflect one's nature back onto them.
All in all, it's like bantering with family members. Quirky, crazy and a lot of awkward confessions at the breakfast table. Gah!
