I have 5. I have 2 Sentinels, a Vanguard, an Adept and an Infiltrator!
I have a "pure" Paragon (Sentinel) and Renegade (Infiltrator) playthrough and the other Three are a random mix of choices. I made sure I saved Ashley in my renegade playthrough as I wanted to see what she's like in ME3, was hard killing Kaidan though

I felt like a terrible person but I'm curious to see what Asley is like in ME3, I actually felt evil doing it whereas when I Virmire Ashley it doesn;t really bother me!
I suppose I will have 7 Sheps when I've finished my slu**y MShep and FemShep but I'm not sure if I will finish them in time for ME3

Multiple deviations on the major choices, perfect ME2 run, no killing runs (no murdering npcs that I have the option to do so), Paragon/renegade full, paragade, renegon, and of course my personal choices run.
Choosing which one gets to be the lucky first to play is going to be tough. More then likely it will be my "Kill Everyone she can" Femshepard. I want to see just how "bad" I can make the galaxy before playing as Mr. Goody-two Shoes.

I'm not even sure. Six I think. I just recently did a run with a Renegade Adept. I don't have a clue who my canon is going to be. I have to actually load all those saves again so I can remember who I had and decide who I want to play with.

canon, in this case, means the playthrough they consider their main.
Most people have more than one because there are two genders (in my case, I have a main Femshep and a main Manshep that I prefer over the others, thus they are my "canon" playthroughs)
there is no canon, but the word canon isn't being used here in it's literal sense. It's more of a personal canon; a headcanon

Three, two starting in ME1, got a paragon a renegade and a paragade, the paragade is the one I'm most interested in, a male default Shepard starting in ME1, the other two were just for fun to see the extremes.
