About a dozen, though some aren't complete. My actual ME1 Shepards are fewer, but some of them I imported to ME2 twice in order to do playthroughs I don't like as much (like full paragon or full renegade, romancing Miranda, pro-Cerberus, etc).

I have 12 finished Shepards ready to  import into ME3.  I also have 4 more that are half done that I'm thinking about finishing before the release date.  I dont have a Male Shep to import.  I should probably finish one of those.

I just can't choose which one I want to play first.  Do I play a cheater, celebate or loyal Shepard first?  Should I play a Shepard who saved Ash or Kaiden?  Should I play a Shepard who romanced Kaiden, Thane, Garrus, Liara or no one?

Saving the council, making Anderson a councilor and blowing up the collector base are mostly staples for me so those arent choices.

Don't care about the class cause we can choose a new one when we Import.  I'll either play an adept or vanguard though.  That's another reason I have so many cause I have to play each class at least once for a full game.

These don't include all the ones I've deleted.  I deleted my very first Shepard cause Mordin died at the end so I had to redo and fix that.

i hope i romanced ahsley in my ashley save and liara in my kaiden save file. its going to be kindof important to me having my LI on my squad 100% of the time.

im betting on the ME3 comic being equally as valuable as my completionist import, so i just did one with ashley and one with kaiden. both with im guessing exactly the same choices except the VS.

Right now I only have one, 100% complete on both games. He's James Bond in space. Almost completel good, but still willing to kill or blow crap up to look cool. He just doesn't take crap from people. And he sexes every person possible. He did Liara and the Consulate in ME1, he did Miranda, Jack (although I felt bad later), and Liara in LotSB. I liked Liara a lot more than Miranda though, so hopefully I can continue that romance in ME3.

But yeah, he does Paragon 90% of the time, unless its really awesome (like the renegade interrupts in ME2) or the guy that I killed is a total douche, etc.

I plan on doing more playthroughs after ME3, though, but I never wanted to do more playthroughs before the trilogy was complete, I guess, I did things just as I wanted to for Shepard. After I've beaten the third game I might as well mess around with new characters, though. Definitely been wanting to do a renegade femshep.

Every friend that I've told about this Shepard has made this joke, so I just thought I get it out first.

And yes the Kris Shepard's are the same person but one is a soldier who slept with Kaidan and left Ash to die, and one a Sentinel who had her way with Liara and let Kaidan burn.

I have two, but I've played through both of them at least four times. A female Paragon Infiltrator, and a male Renegon Adept (who is also my canon).

...Right, those are the two I actually care about. I have two other Shepards that I've finished ME1 with once(Engineer and Adept), and one created in ME2 (Vanguard) who is currently sitting in the Lazarus facility. But I don't think they'll be seeing Mass Effect 3.

despite my PS3 cacking it recently, having bought myself another i'm close to finishing Perfect Soldier Shep, and i'll probably do a Sentinel Shep prior to release.

On the PC i've got a Adept, Vanguard & Soldier .... enough to keep me happy for a while.

Just one, single Shepard. I replayed Mass Effect 1 seven times with the exact same choices and decisions each time, making sure to do each and every side quest each time, and those freakin' annoying Mako resource gathering quests.

I did the same with Mass Effect 2, and was freakishly lucky enough for everyone to live through the suicide mission. I'm pretty sure by now, I've memorized every line of dialogue and interrupt that I've taken and have a set path through main quests/side quests, keeping them as organic as possible. I have NEVER skipped dialogue either!

Making one Shepard, who I modeled to look as close to myself as possible, makes it much easier to view myself as the one making these decisions. Regardless of whether or not I miss out on certain content and dialogue that the game holds as a result of making other choices, it allows me to envision myself AS Shepard instead of some omnipresent "know all outcomes" onlooker.

I've never killed the Rachni Queen, I STILL don't know how the first part of the final battle with Saren looks like since I always persuaded him to kill himself , Wrex survived since I found his family's armor. I sent Kaiden with Kirrahe on Virmire and Ash with the bomb, Kirrahe's team was alive by the time I reached the choice so I ALWAYS figured saving the few was more important than the one, but I sat there in front of my TV for ten minutes coming to terms with the decision. Romanced Liara, but by the time ME2 rolled around she seemed different/Miranda's ass was looking fiiiiiiine. BUT! When Shadow Broker came out I got back with Liara, so we'll see how that turns out in ME3. I destroyed the Collector Base and flipped off The Illusive Man.

I also probed each and every square of Uranus.

I think even after Mass Effect 3 ends, I STILL won't roll another Shepard.

I've taken 13 unique characters through both games.

I've kept track of them all by filling out checklists (http://masseffect.shockfront.net/) and jotting down notes in the margins regarding choices/motivations/favourite squad mates/romances/deaths etc. I also like to sum up the personalities of each Shepard in one word - optimistic, angry, snarky, cowardly, dramatic, stupid, and such, so they're easy to keep hold of. I’m pretty sure I’ve got every interesting scenario covered, and I intend to take them all through ME3.

And I do have my canon Shep, Saxony Shepard, who I took through both ME1 and ME2 the first time round, and who I'll import into ME3 first.

That said, I never intend to play either of the first two games EVER again. I have thoroughly overdosed on them both, and the thought of restarting another game from the beginning fills me with horror and revulsion.

1:  Leonidas Shepard:  Male Paragade Soldier, my primary Shepard.  I've got 5 different end game saves with him.
2:  Motoko Shepard:  Female Paragade Infiltrator.
3: Jean Luc Shepard: Male Paragon Sentinel.
4:  Apollo Shepard:  Male RenegadeVanguard (and Cerberus Stooge).

And I've got an Adept and an Engineer career set up that I'm planning to complete ME2 with before ME3 comes out.

Had a lot more (6-12) before my Hard drive died on me... the loss of my ME characters was probably my single greatest regret over losing that drive.
