I  finally won the game after 100+ hours and I was happy my main goals were achieved.

I restored my family to the Teyrnate of Highever, smitted the House of Howe and had their lands and titles given over to the Grey Wardens.

I lived and got to run of with Leliana to travel until we had to come back to fight various Darkspawn who, it seems, have decided to invade the surface on their own.

Oh and defeated the Blight of course.

Man there were some tough decisions to be made I really had to wretch about deciding what to do during the Landsmeet...in the end I just couldn't kill the Hero of the River Dane and I figured as a Grey Warden he could redeem himself...and I was pretty apalled Alistair would just give up everything for his need for revenge.  The guy was devoted as a Grey Warden yet he left embittered to become a drunk at some distant nation.  I was pretty disgusted with the guy actually.

Anyway sparing Loghain set up a perfect ending where he could slay the Archdemon, redeem himself by saving the nation he had so thoroughly devoted himself, I get to live and Morrighan doesn't get her demon baby.  Honor and good taste have prevailed and it was very satisfying.

However it does make me wonder if there is anyway I could have followed through on my initial project and had Alora and Alistair marry and spared Loghain?  Ending the House of Theirin was the only little nagging annoyance.

Last thought: interesting that Morrighan insinuated herself into the Imperial Court of Orlais...that can't be good.

If you spare Loghain, Alistair walks in disgust or is executed, there is no way around it.

Yes Morrigan in the court at Orlais would make an interesting story.

Pity. I was all about supporting Alistair until he demanded I execute a potential Grey Warden. But then one of us would have had to sacrifice to defeat the Archdemon.

I guess it would not be Dragon Age if I got EVERYTHING I wanted in my ending. Oh well Alistair's exile was self-inflicted I hope he drinks himself to death that silly bugger.

Wrong. Harden Alistair, and convince both to marry. Once you spare loghain, Alistair "Stops being a grey warden" to become king, and marries anora, while you get loghain. Makes you feel guilty of backstabbing, however.

Tell him everyone is out for themselves during his personal quest.

Huh...it would seem to me the sort of person who would say that would probably not spare Loghain's life. I guess I will have to try that out with another character.
