I had an ME1 save where I romanced Liara, and then I picked back up with LOTSB midgame. Then I did Tali's loyalty quest. Since this was my 5th playthrough, I was skipping lots of dialogue and accidentally hit the neutral option when talking to her post-mission and saved over it. But this seems to have triggered the romance story anyway because the next time I talk to her, the music starts playing and she does the whole apologizing for flitring talk. I have the option to stop it by saying 'it's too dangerous', but is my previous action of not saying "I'm not interested" right after her mission considered cheating on Liara? I hope there aren't repercussions in ME3 since I want to stay with Liara.
I have a save right before I start the music-accompanied talk in the engine room. If I avoid that conversation forever will I be ok?

OK, I found by accident, an accidental romance will indicate by Liara's photo in your room turning face down, you can go end it with the person, and the photo will be setting up again, so long as you don't go all the way and wind up in bed with them.
