I DIDN'T get the answer in the big suicide mission post, so I needed to write this.
I hate Zaeed. In two of my playthroughs I've got all survivors, but now I would like to kill Zaeed and some others (I don't want the third game to be the same in all playthroughs). BUT: If I've got both Thane and Garrus loyal, will it be an unloyal Zaeed who dies if I don't upgrade the thanix cannon (I would never in my life kill Thane or Garrus = ) ). If not, I don't really get the point of the the priority list of who will die etc. Like, you have to recruit Garrus, so if Thane is not in the squad he will always be the first to die. How does this work?!
Sorry for making a new topic, but I need to get an answer really soon!

I don't know about all that, but if you do Zaeed's mission AFTER the Suicide mission, you can kill him if you choose the paragon path (saving the workers).

Why not just assign him to infiltrate the pipes in the Suicide Mission? Isn't the one who opens the door always the one to die if they're not a 'good' choice?

Yeah... But I want to kill Kasumi in the vents by choosing a non-ideal leader. That doesn't really matter, I just want to know how the "priority list" works on the ship.

You could always make him the second fireteam lead, or take him unloyal to the baby reaper.

LOL, even better is to save his loyalty mission for Post SM and leave him to burn by Paragon actions of not wanting him on the ship.......

^ You know, I bet that's the Paragon action that the Renegades envy the most.
