But that's what is so awesome about Zaeed. The fact that he has all of these incredible stories from his career of being a Galatically-Renowned Mercenary. I have nothing against Jacob, I just have him as sort of half-baked compared to the other characters that were really fleshed out.

I mean, Zaeed tells you about a time he strapped a girl with explosives. Being nearly strangled by a Hanar. The perfect threat to issue a Krogan if you want to make them squirm. The fact that you don't even get to go into real dialogue with him, yet you learn so many hilariously awesome things about his past shows some good character depth.

I've pretty much talked Jacob to exhaustion, and all I can tell you, and even then, this is really paraphrased and I might even be making some of it up in my head, is that he used to 'sort of' be a soldier for the Alliance. And then he pulled a Garrus, got tired of 'proper procedure' and joined an organization with a shady reputation. Insert some 'Don't talk to me about my Dad or my former fling with Miranda' and that's about all there is to Jacob.

No huge ship explosions. No Blood Pack Leader Helmets pryed off in hand to hand combat. No emotional attatchment to a weapon that's appeared to have killed more people than those that died in the Skylian Blitz.

Just a few hundred shirtless sit-ups each day. Realistic? Definitely. Interesting? In the eye of the beholder. In my opinion, not when compared against Zaeed Massani.

Zaeed may be an ass, an ugly selfish ass, but at least he's something.  Jacob is just... nothing.  He's a blank line somebody forgot to fill in on the mad lib that was the ME2 script.

Kasumi didn't say much either, still had a lot more character depth then that stump called Jacob.  He's just a generic soldier boy, period.  Theres absolutely nothing special at all about him, nothing interesting or unique in the slightest.  At least Zaeed has an interesting history getting betrayed and surviving a point black shot to the face and then going on a 20 year vandetta.  Jacob has nothing to his legacy, he's just another chunk of flesh holding a rifle that nobody will remember after he dies.  I pretty much treat him like just another nameless crew member on board the normandy.  He's the gun polisher. 

Well, i didn't say anything about Kasumi.
But i do treat Zaeed like you treat Jacob.

I've never once let Kaidan survive Virmire, but I don't dislike him. I'm just a female chauvinist. I always save Wrex, though, he is like a giant, armoured frog and frogs are great.

Zaeed doesn't feel like a crewmate especially because you can't talk to him on the normandy and  he's just a gun-for-hire. BioWare just threw a bunch of stories in there as banter and *poof*.

I think the best thing about Zaeed's DLC is that Garbage generator that you get in his quarters.

Ashley's supposed intolerance is overblown by the fanbase.

I don't blame folk for getting it wrong, it's what made Ashley's story interesting, it was not as straight forward as first appears, she does skirt on the edge of xenophobia, but like most people it's due to ignorance, the same with Pressley, I was pleased to find that datapad from Pressley in the Normandy wreckage.

Favorite: I actually like most of the characters, but Garrus is my right-hand man... erm, Turian.

Least Favorite: I could have done without one of the two "warrior monks", and I disagree with a few different characters on certain issues (edited to add: but that's a good thing and I still like them), but Zaeed is the only one that really got under my skin. If I could have thrown him off my ship, I would have... fortunately for me, he got himself killed on the Collector Base.

That's a tough choice for me. I generally like all of the characters. Yes, Jacob too. I'm going to go with Tali and Kasumi. Both sweet and cute. Tali gets tops for being a romance option. Superficial, but *shrugs* I also really like her VA. Kasumi because it's tragic and sad what happened to Keiji.

I never take Thane with me anywhere. I'm not sure why, but maybe that's telling.

Least Favourite: Morinth. I mean, come on. She's the only squaddie so far that can actually kill you (although that does require a major case of stupid on Shepard's part). She probably could have been better fleshed out, but it feels as if she's only there as some kind of reward for extreme Renegades.

• Garrus - Callibrations, Long reach.
• Wrex -  It's not just that he's Krogan, Grunt is Krogan and boring as hell. Great character and story.
• Liara - Perfect paramour for my Paragon Shep, great ME1 character, she's abit gay in LotSB though.
• Legion - His input makes the Geth 100x cooler and raises thought provoking questions, also hilarious.
• Zaeed - Perfect balance for my Paragon Shep, when he does have lines quite rightly points out the folly of too much paragon, don't use him for proper story missions but great Merc-basher.

Favourites (Crew/Dialogue)

• Mordin - I am the very model of a scientist salarian, I've studied species turian, asari, and batarian....
• Tali - Strong story, very cute, likable.
• Joker - C'mon, it's Seth Green. And the bit where you play as Joker is one of the best parts in the game!

Boring

• Jacob - The Priiiiiize...
• Kaiden - Gives too much credit to people who may believe being nice causes you to have no personality.
• Grunt - Sheperd, Grunt, Sheperd, Grunt, Sheperd Gru.........
• Samara - Has a potentialy good story, but has little emotion and evokes none.
• Kasumi - Presence on Military mission makes little sense, LM was touching though, mostly because of Keiji.

Hate

• Williams - Enormous biggot, just gets anoying.
• Miranda - Dedicates herself to being hated by everyone, i'm happy to oblige.
• Subject Zero-time-for-this-chick - Aggressive outside, crying inside, great if you want a comic-book crash-course in psychology, i do not.

Favorite : Difficult but i'd probably say Kasumi, she's fun and usefull in battle, i'd like to see more of her in me3.

Least(s) : Jacob and Kaidan. Boring guys. But they are not a problem anymore, because while one really likes ventilation shafts on alien bases, the other is in love with A-bombs. So welll... They won't bother me in ME3.
