Ashley - bible thumping xenophobe with a chip on her shoulder. Ironic it's Shep who joins Cerberus for a period and meanwhile Ashley the bigot becomes a spectre to protect aliens she hates.

You clearly dont understand her character in the slightest, considering she also blasts the Terra firma guy on the Citadel for his parties racism. And calling someone a 'bible thumper'' then calling her the 'bigot'' I hope you realise that you're a bigot yourself?

Least favorites: Except Jacob. God, he was so boring I could never even get through a single non-required conversation with him.

Okay but seriously if I had to choose my absolute favorites... Kasumi, Tali and Garrus, probably. And Mordin. I can't choose just one!

Favorite: Tali. Funny in a dorky way, mysterious with the mask and independent like Ash but less of the annoying attitude

Least Favorite: Mordin, annoying.

Favourites would be Garrus and Liara for me. Least favourite, probably Grunt or Jacob. I can't say I really dislike any of the squadmate characters though.

I do HAVE to add that I LOVED Jacob as a character. I thought he had an interesting backstory that should've been fleshed out more. An only child with a tough upbrining who became a standout Alliance soldier. After serving faitfully for years, he left the political machinations of the Alliance to join Cerebus as a man of action. An honest, reliable character who works for a shady organization. LOTS to be done with that.
Too bad his powers were VERY limited and he was made to be more of a tank than a damage dealer (barrier and pull as powers? Weak. Only thing the guy had going for him was the shotty-wielding).

Garrus will always be my go-to character in Mass Effect. I don't really think there's anything I don't like about his character...okay, aside from infinite calibrations, but that's more BW running out of material than a fault of the character. It seemed like every line out of Garrus' mouth was gold, and he has a very nice voice to deliver them, too. He's a guy you know will always have Shepard's back, no matter what hell they have to crawl through.

Legion is just a hell of a lot of fun to have around. I love that robot, I really do. He's what you'd get if you meshed a sage with a terminator. Very insightful, inquisitive, and he (it?) brings a new perspective to everything he runs across. But I'm very, very fascinated by AI, so I naturally gravitate towards his character anyway.

Mordin...is Mordin. I didn't really drag him around on missions, but he was another character I just loved listening to and I was really disappointed when I hit the brick wall of "recycle dialogue." Thankfully his dialogue cycles (should've done that with Garrus, BW >:| ), but I wanted to listen to more of his stories! Or songs! Or both! Very entertaining character and he mixed things up a lot. I liked his no-nonsense, "do what must be done" philosophy. I recognize it takes a lot of strength when one isn't immoral to be able to do that and not let it completely warp and destroy you.

I didn't have a least favorite character i pretty much liked them all but the two i did not really immerse my self in where Jack and kaiden, they did not really interest me as much as the others my favorite characters where Garrus,Wrex,Jacob, and Leigon.

Least favorite: Morinth, I guess. Even though there are other squadmates I hate, she kind of wins by default here.

As much as I don't like Miranda as a character, in my renegade sentinel femshep playthrough, Miranda and Garrus were my most used squad mates because they are a great combo for combat.

Favs:

Miranda: Strong, smart and determinated woman. I hated at the start if the game, but after her ice queen persona melted, My Shepard just couldn't live without her. She has a complex background. And she is the most versatil and useful squadmate in ME2 (warp + overload + passive).

Jack: I like her background. Even if she has bad thoughts about Miranda I think they can respect each other (both of them suffered from the desires of another). It's good for the to give biotic children something she didn0t have in Teltin.

Mordin: Because he is the very model of a scientist salarian.

Legion: Becaus he does the robot and play videogames.

Least Favs:
Liara: I was neutral to her in ME1, but changing her persona was a bad move for me,

Tali: damsell in distress (got her ass saved 3 times by Shep) and annoying character, she is a talking quarianpedia, every time she opens her mouth she speaks of the quarians),

Jacob: Just bored, I know he is ex-Alliance, but id kinda irritating each time he salutes Shepard- But the thing I hate of him is his lack of selfesteem, "She deserves a better man than I." So he wasn't a good man for Miranda, but he could be a good man for femShep? And what happened to his romance in ME3 is just meh.
