This may be partly due to the fact that it is now so easy to set up a blog, CMS, forum, etc. that many modders and mod teams have (understandably) elected to do so over the BSN equivalents. They may have created a BSN project but it may be (understandably) private and/or rarely updated. Even those teams who make a special effort to create and update a public BSN group, project or blog it only reaches a limited audience: people on their friends list or who have subscribed to their project, etc.
I think we find a way to let those people who are joining (or perhaps even returning to) our community that it is still very much alive and kicking. A simple solution might be to create some sort of Project News aggregation thread in here in the general discussion forum. That way we could collate theadlines from the more active projects BG2R, Dark Times/Hidden Circle, Rose of Eternity, Shattered War, Sappho's Daughters, etc. along with anything else of interest and present it in a weekly post.
Let me know what you think of this suggestion or if you have any other ideas about how to showcase all the work that is actually going on in our community.
