so excited, I hope it comes out soon..
Heres what I wanna see,
i don't want it to skyrim when it comes to communicating,
i love how your character has voice and you can ssay whatever you please..
but I do like the open world idea..
i d like to see more of dragon age origins in 3 though,
how you can talk to your companions, whenever and dress them.
spoilers!

I really don't like how the ending in both games though, they say they don't know
what happened to the main characters..
Esp since there are going to be no more dlcs for origins :/
I like how you can save all your work from origins and hawkes
world mentions " the hero of feredlen"
and how sandals dad said that last hhe heard about
her was she married Alistar and is now queen..
what are your hopes for 3? sorry for my rant

I think we learned from DA2 that they should take their time.

Anyways....
A better story.
Not have them rewrite player decisions (ex: Anders, Justice, Leliana)
The option to choose my race.

Those are my big ones.

my major 2 hopes for DA3 would be.

1) Please,... pretty please... NO MORE "you have to travel over the land to gather allies that will ask you to do errand before joining you to defeat the evil dude in a last mission when the gathering is over" as a motive to play the game.... i'm SO sick of that from YOU Bioware ....

2) If you don't intend to care about some choices during the game, then don't ask for them, i hated in DA2 when pnj ask your opinion and after you try to make them see reason, they just "yhea ... i guess you are right,.. but i'll still make my big mistake LOLz". Just make the story go forward as you want if you don't want to give alternative.

More interactions with your party/LI.
Choice of race.
Better romance scenes.
As a mod fan, I would like to have a tool kit,and to see something like the Black Emporium in DA3.

I want the world to evolve as you move through it and make changes. I like how in Assassins Creed, Fable and other games you can create a whole new world just by your actions or the world actually evolves through time and you can see it in game as you play and not as an Epilogue or whatever.

I haven't finished DA2 yet, but I'd also like more diversity in the dungeons and maps. I don't mind some repeating, but yeaaah. Also I didn't like the errands some people make you run, so I hope they do away with that.

I loved the way relationships worked in DAO and I hope that there is even more character interaction in 3.

Also, I don't see the point in the Aggressive vs Nice responses atm... If they want to do the morality/nice guy vs good guy thing, I think it should have more consequences for your character and the outcomes in your world.

Also, and this is shallow... but Fenris has the biggest pores on his face. All the characters need dermabrasion I think.

-a longer/deeper story than DA2
-backgroundselection just as in DAO-> more customization (there are TONS of mods for eyes, armor, -and hair, yet DA2 stuck with the same models as the part before did-> not enough)
-item upgrades to make em lvl with you OR the option to visualy wear the same armor/robe with improved stats (just my opinion, but when it came to 2H weapons i liked the looks of the low lvl weapons more)
-reapearances of DAO and DA2 characters, maybe even a clash of the hero of fereldan and hawke if you import the continued saves of both games (by that i mean the looks of em)
-give tanking back it's purpose
-give healing back it's purpose (as both kind of felt weak and not that important in DA2)
-make it have a replay option where you can keep your level (achievement hunting/ reaching a maxed out character/ and giving it more replay value instead of; i beat the game huh? 2 more times with different classes/ alighments and i've seen it all -.-)
-MOAR DLC (and i mean the story part, not some gear you have to pay for)

other than that i still love DAO and DA2 in their unique ways, but there's always room for improvement^^

OP, you should have never made this thread.
People who like to whine and complain will soon over-run it. Pathetic.

I guess the only thing I'd want is more interactions with your party members and love interests.
I miss being able to click on someone, like for example Alistair from DA:O, and be able to talk with him whenever I pleased. But in here you only get to interact with your party members during quests which is a bummer. Other then that I love everything else about the game.

And I agree, I hate how they left us cliff hanging saying your Warden, if she/he wasn't killed, has gone missing like Hawke. But I don't think Hawke went missing, Hawke fled Kirkwall with her/his party members. I think there just in hiding.

Warden.. I don't know. Right now my Warden is buried in a Grey Warden fortress so..
*troll face* :3

First and foremost I want the return of choice. I feel as though the writers at Bioware went in a direction that sought to gratify themselves in DA2 and the breadth of choice was the victim as a result. I felt in DAO the origin story helped make the experience more personal and the choices at the end (though not as developed as the origin story) compelling as well. I feel as though what made the Dragon Age series stand out, aside from a unique and quality back drop, was the origin story.

Second, I hope that some other factions in the background of Thedas use the Chantry/Templar/Mage conflict to their advantage and thus play a role in the plot.  When major players in a large part of the world are shaken or come into conflict the entire world would react.

The Qunari would seize this opportunity to perhaps strike again?  It would seem only logical.

Perhaps the Tevinter see the plight of the mages and offer refuge or intervene under the guise of saving their fellow mages but really just want to retake what was once theirs?  Perhaps the Qunari do strike and Tevinter are saving the mages, getting a foot hold in the rest Thedas once more, and using the rest of the world to help with their continuing fight against the Qunari?  An enemy of my enemy after all is a convincing cover.

What about the elves?  If I were a part of the elves I would see the mages (descended from a once powerful group of people who are but a shadow of their former self living under the rule/discrimination of the Chantry) as a group I could empathize with and more importantly that the mages have the power to make a difference for both of themselves and the elves.

The possibilities are endless!

More importantly, I think the beautiful thing about the Blight (Alistair said it himself) is that it brings people together.  The Blight reminds us that survival, hope, and love (for fellow living creatures) are the ties that bind us regardless of race, religion, or class.  So what would naturally be the most dangerous enemy for Thedas?  Ourselves and how quickly we lose sight of the grim yet necessary reminder the Blight brings with it.  Wouldn't you agree? (Edit: Sorry if I'm a little over enthused, but I really find the setting compelling . . .)

Oh, and a last wish . . . I hope the open world idea they're trying to derive from Skyrim is just the walking around part and not the size. I felt Skyrim's scope cost it in the quality of characters, story, and sense of depth. I couldn't blame them because it was so huge and it is something Bethesda does well.  Bioware does the character and story well.

I guess a more positive way to spin it is - I hope they find the balance between the scope of an open world and story/character.

Most importantly-don't disregard a player's previous choices. I'm assuming they will let you import your last save from the end of DA2. I'd be really disappointed if I started DA3 and Alistair was the King in Ferelden, when I let Anora kill him at the Landsmeet. I expect they will do in in a minor way the way they did with Anders, but be very careful what they make canon.

I do hope they address those inconsistences in DA3, as well.  Provide a logical reason for the return of Leliana, for example (if you happened to kill her in Origins) or, in your case, Alistair.  Even if it comes as a kind of deus ex machina explanation as to why they might have appeared in the second installment, I need those possibilities written up in a logical fashion in order for the Dragon Age world to make sense again.  Personally, I can envision a way in which Leliana was able to escape death but Alistair...that one might require a little more work.

For me, tho most important thing is the combat system. I don't think there's a big chance of the game going back to the turtle-paced system like in DA:O. Sure, it may seem a little... hm, ridiculous? when your berserker in plate armor is swinging her/his big-ass 2H sword faster than Izzy can slice with daggers, but I'm sold.

And if there isn't a spell like DA2 Haste in the next game (I didn't like the previous one much) I will be severly disappointed.

The fact we are "hoping" for cool stuff in DA3 rather than expecting it is telling...

I would like to give the main character an actual voice, like the Hawke in DA-2. I would also keep the battle system from DA-2.

I guess for me the A priority is making me invest in the story, the characters, and the quest/tasks set before me. In DAO I wanted to do side stories for my companions because I cared. I wanted to learn more. I wanted to make the decisions because they were compelling and I cared about the character I created. DA2 felt more rushed and less about the player and more about the writers. I love the Chantry/Mage/Templar story and I see a great deal of potential.

I think the important thing to see here is that a lot of people are requesting some things be preserved from the games. That is good. It means you did something great and perhaps when you attempted to innovate you lost a bit of it. There is nothing wrong with learning and experimenting so long as you are open to the end result having lessons to be learned as well as successes to be celebrated.

i'd like options with serious consequences to come with the consequences spelled out, i'm sick of trying to predict what way bioware writers think,
for example i slept with merrill and didn't break her heart the next morning, but doing this automatically turns off all other romance options for the rest of the game! and the only way i find this out is by reaching the end of the game!
for a start, why? where's the option to be a womanising bastard? why can't i just break her heart at a later stage? logic does not apply here, it's a random limitation that we're supposed to somehow predict?!
why not at least make me aware of such a consequence when i'm faced with the decision? i don't see the point in being obscure, it's frustrating, and makes my character feel like a total useless ****** with less awareness of the the world around him than i have in this one (and that's saying something)
