I'm really disappointed with two things.
1. No controler support.
2. Keyboard lovers working against us, saying play it on 360.

I know traditional pc gamers are sitting next to the desk and playing with k/m.
I'm different. I played ME1-2 on 360 but times are changing, performance is much better on pc and even if MS and Sony want to expand console lifecycle I don't.

I'm playing Skyrim on my 46" plasma in 5.1 from my pc and with 360 controller. It's awesome. I'm used to it, I love it.
ME3 looks so much better on pc I won't pay the same price for it on 360. (kinect support? hah... Binary Domain can do the same thing with headsets)

So I guess I'm gonna wait for a 3rd party patch and don't buy the game until it happens. Or simply don't buy it ever..

Yes, ME3 should have controller support.

You say use xpadder or another program but, the way ME3 is set up, that won't work. You have to click the menu items instead of being able to use the movement keys to select the different options and hitting an accept button.

It's really a pain when menus use different controls from combat. You already have the control scheme, you just need to program it in. Also, most PC games that are also on console have controller support.

Skyrim
Saints Row: The Third
Borderlands, a third person but true RPG shooter
The Witcher 2
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning

Not everybody can use a keyboard and mouse. There are actually those of us that play better and have a better experience with a controller. If Bioware is truly all about providing the best experience possible, I feel like controller support should have been included and hopefully will be included in a patch.

Please, Bioware, we beg you. It would only improve the experience and feel of the game for those of us that prefer a controller.

Shame on you, Bioware!

I was about to buy a brand new PC with the latest GPU, just in time to play ME3 with the comfort of the Xbox Wireless gamepad, sofa and HDTV. But now ... no gamepad support?! Well, no brand-new ME3 for me then. I'll wait for the USED ME3 version to appear. Maybe by then, someone would have the sense to do a workaround for gamepad support.

I'm not buying the ******-poor console graphics version, just so I can use the gamepad.

You had the time to buid Kinect support but no time for standard gamepad support? Excuses, excuses .....

In the same boat as peeps who plug their rigs into widescreen TVs and use the controller for playing games. Played Skyrim like that and it was epic. Still going to get the game but just very surprised that Bioware couldn't or won't provide gamepad support on the PC version.

Well, I liked controller support for Arkham City, but just tried the PS3 demo and HATED the controller for ME3. I think the mouse/keyboard is SO much better for this game. SO, with that in mind, I bow out of requesting this feature. Good luck, everyone!

The PC version does not support controllers. They may or may not work, but they are unsupported by the game.

i too don't understand why bioware would just decide not to support the 360gamepad. Just plain stupid. hopefully they will wake up and do the right thing and patch it to make the game complete!

I vote for game pad support as well, how hard can it be to include that in the game!?!

I'm most thankful for the well done keyboard and mouse support. If they had to choose between one or the other, I'm glad they put more time into the mouse and keyboard. Besides, this game is fps-y enough that I would much rather play with a mouse and keyboard.

Gads I hope not. I bought the XBox version JUST for gamepad support, and I can't return it.

I would love to be able to use BOTH. Basically, the controller would allow me to play with the simple hotkeys I use most, but then if I wanted to have more hotkeys, the keyboard is there. I very much prefer PC version of games like ME (whereas I prefer consoles for the more action oriented games), but I like the ease of a controller.

So, again... Would love to be able to use BOTH a controller and the keyboard/mouse at the same time.

Honestly, at times it seems like they worked to remove controller support from their games for whatever unknown reason.

It also doesn't help that the reasons they give are so asinine.

Some games play well with controllers... so give the people what they want.

I don't see what the problem is, just do it.

This is what made me give my personal rating for ME2 a 9/10 for pc instead of 10/10.
Yes a whole point off for not including something they have already made for the xbox, almost all games that comes for that crappy console has this feature on their PC version, even the worst ports.

And the argument that keyboard and mouse is better is valid if I was just sitting in front of my tiny computer screen. But I would trade the good controlls of M&K for a controller any day if I can choose to, because then I can sit in my good chair and play the game on PC but on my 40 inch TV. It is just lazy and disappointing that Bioware did not include this. You could then say, why not play it on xbox... Come on! like I would start playing on a 6 year old antique that can press out graphics and performance that makes me cry blood.

You have a caretaker, don't you?

How hard is it to implement this when even small indie games are able to do so?

True story.  If Bioware can put in non-essential kinect features, they can put in gamepad support for the PC...and hi-res textures!

*ahem* it could be likely that MS gave EA/Bioware a small pay cheque. Even if that isn't true, ME3 isn't a PC focused game therefore little time and money has been put-in for the development, there are primary costs (implementing the feature) and secondary costs (patches for bugs as a result of controller implementation)

We are on 2012 wakeup Bioware, every PC player DONT ALWAYS PLAY ON A STUPID WOOD OFFICE on an office chair!!!! @ 10cm from the screen....

I play my PC on a videoprojector, sitting on a couch, and i dont have a ****ing plane surface to handle a mouse or a ****ing keyboard

Its fun to see in 2012 some dev's still think PC = this:4.bp.blogspot.com/_wRjAU184ijA/SuTdAtrXW7I/AAAAAAAABmE/Z2bA3JAFQKY/s400/pc1.jpg

The only thing I like about Keyboard & Mouse is the amount of buttons, it works really well for RTS games and some very complicated games, but besides that.. no Gamepad in my opinion is superior, and I know someone is going to say "Mouse is more accurate!" No, it's quicker to use... and that's why I should hurt my back leaning over at my computer? Thanks but no thanks. Bioware should have implemented Controller support, Mass Effect is a very simplistic game after all.

Like the topic says.

For games that don't have controller support, I use Xpadder. Good luck finding a place for every keyboard button.B)
