I'm not sure whether this should be under Technical support but I couldn't find any other heading for in game problems.
There is a particular point in the game where my character loses all her gold and most of her quest items. It is in Orzamar when Lord Harromont has just been elected king and during the ensuing fight with Behlen. I have gone back in my saves and replayed the scene but the identical problem occurs where I lose all my money and most quest items.
Is this supposed to happen at this stage? If so shouldn't there be some in-game explanation? Or is this a technical glitch? Has anyone else experienced it? What can I do to correct it. I have contacted EA but they're not helping. All they suggested was to post here.
Greatful for any suggestions.

Haven't seen this problem myself. Might need a bit more info to help more (e.g. see the "Read First" thread). Might even be something to do with mods you might be using....

More info below regarding my problem are below. I don't really think the hardware of my computer has anything to do with the problem though. I'm not using any patches or third party mods. Do I need to install a patch for it to work? I did try to install the latest patch when I got the game recently but installing the patch did so I couldn't even open the game, not even after untinsatlling the patch. So I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it in it's original form and that's what I'm playing now.
What edition of the game you have (original release or Ultimate Edition): Dragon Age: Origins
The format of your game media (retail disc, EA Digital Download, Steam, Impulse, etc.): Digital download
What patch version you have (see below for help): No patch, just the game as I got it from retailer.
Your hardware specs (see below for hints finding these). Please include
processor type and speed (example: Phenom II X4 3.4Ghz): Intel core i5, CPU M 460, 2.53 GHz, RAM 4.0 GB
Your specific version of Windows, including if it is 32 or 64-bit (example: Win 7 Home Premium, 64-bit) Windows 7 Home premius, 64-bit
If you have any third party mods installed: No third party mods

If you're having issues patching the game, then I suspect there's some sort of corrupt file issue going on. From what service did you download the game? Origin (EA's store), Steam, Amazon, or someplace else?
Also, have you (at any point in the past) used the console commands to modify the game?

I experienced the same problems with the patching that most people reported here on the site. My computer skills are somehow litmited though so rather than try all the different solutions that were offered, I just reinstalled the game and was content to play without the patch.
I bought the game from CDON.com which as far as I know is a reputable computer store here in Sweden where I live.
I have never done anything to modify the game. No patches, no third party mods and no console command modifications. All I have changed is turning off the music and adjusting the volume on the background noises and the dialogue. I have also set the graphics to the minimum since my computer is not the best for showing fast, complicated graphics. But all these were done right at the start and as far as I undersand should not have any influence on the action of the game?
