We already know why, it was explained in one of the books.

Anderson quit, and he did so because of his "girlfriend" kahlee.

There was much rage to be had about it back when the book was released. I still feel like he betrayed shep, and humanity by doing so.

Edit: I also doubt shep will be able to chew him off about it either. >.>

You seriously doubt things like these? You must be new here. You've clearly never been to the character discussion forums, people literally fall in love with video game characters and since this Chobot now has a digital persona the same thing will happen with her only this time it's on screen and not in their minds.

Read my post again. I never said I doubted that this sort of thing goes on. I just think anyone who does so has mental issues. And yes, I am aware of the myriad character-obsession threads. In fact, they're the basis for why I think these people are loonies.

Well it was sort of covered in one of the books. Long story short Anderson got tired of being either councilor or assistant councilor. So he picked up and left much to Udina's joy I imagine.

I did read your post, it's the way that it's written which is why it comes off as being defensive; anyway people are already defending her/writing poetry for her but her voice lacks fluctuation (monotone) and now my expectations for the final in the trilogy (of Shepard which = more knockoffs afterwards) are slowly dropping with consistant bad choices on Bioware's behalf for this iteration.

Chris assures us that "she works" yet I doubt that, I know who she is, I've watched videos of her in it and stumbled on podcasts where she voices her opinion, she has no voice.

Wow, Chobot. I think that's cool. I like her in real life. But more importantly I'm looking forward to meeting another new character! Welcome, Chobot!

Wow, Shepard has a Bloody Nose. I can't recall ever seeing Shepard bleed. And it's from Vega. Vega is gonna give my FemShep a bloody nose...then punch her in the gut. lol. Okay....he's such a flirt, huh? (I love that lil smirk Vega has when he's cracking his knuckles).

FemShep! I think you can get a bit of the front facial view in the part where the room is blowing up. If you're quick...and zoom in......

I also noticed FemShep's hands. Or, their movement, really. When the room was blowing up. They definitely have a more feminine style/movement about them.

Oh! And yes, I think that was Kai Leng'...body in the vid. Standing over the sitting TIM. He's got the flare coat thing.

Color me intrigued, BW.

The tank top, however, was an...interesting choice. Isn't she cold? A lil snug fitting t-shirt woulda been better. I don't even care about the cleavage showing. It's just the tank top looks...goofy. lol.

If that's a stuck scene it's going to blow, literally.
It should be based on your paragon/renegade points and the dialogue choices that you make, for example if you're a Paragon and you choose Paragon dialogue options in the spar you should be able to voice your opinion better to Vegas with your fists.

Vice versa for the Renegades too.

I'm not saying she's going to be good. I'm not saying she's going to be bad. All I'm saying is that her current job transitions to voice acting alot better than mine or yours or Joe-Smo off the street's. 

Except for, you know, all the voice actors already in the industry. It seems to me that a role of this level, which seems to be of at least moderate importance, is not an entry level position, regardless of how much mic talking she does. 

And I imagine some professional voice actors might be a wee bit miffed to find their jobs reduced to simply talking into a mic. It's a whole different level of skill. At its most basic, art could be reduced to drawing stick figures. Are those as well done or culturally relevant as a renaissance masterwork?

Being a mouthpiece =/= voice acting.

Or ya know, Lisa Foiles, since she's got actual gaming cred, runs a gaming news site by herself and has both VA and live action acting work. But sure, let's replace one person who just uses the same rising tone pattern for every sentence for another.
