The objectification is actually coming from the people objecting to the Allers character, funnily enough. Just because the VA is a prominent female gamer/reporter/journalist and the character is wearing a 'revealing' top (nothing worse than you see down the street in any given Western city) she has apparently been included just to entrap nerds into playing the game. So regardless of whatever role her character may play, or how well Ms Chabot may voice the character, or how well written the character may be she is just eye candy.
Because attractive female characters can't possibly have anything going for them other than their looks.
^ So this especially the boled ... because you get it finally someone the gets it/ so many have of us have been saying this.... some through veilled humor, others just saying like yourself just straight up say.
Whats sad is the people making objectification agruement at every turn - Some make valid points others you can see are completly full of it. The latter are really doing a disservice to the over all debate of how woman are protrayed because there is now this false dichotomy being created... that kills any kind of diversity when it comes to apperance and character.
You judge the character for the character not the appearance of the character
