Enough with the moronic Hale vs Meer argument, it is down to personal taste and anyone who thinks otherwise is idiotic. It also doesn't belong in this thread.
But one of them is better than the other.

I personally prefer Hale and find her much more engaging than Meer, but this is just my own, subjective opinion and as such is not enough to warrant a statement like 'Hale > Meer'.

Seriously though, I wonder if Bioware has considered that they may have tripped into an ethnics violation issue with hiring of Chobot. Even if it's a small part, the fact is that they hired a gaming reporter for a game makes it look like they're "buying" their way to a perfect score, even if that's not the intent. Someone didn't think this through.
No because Jessica Chobot is a voice actress . and plus she no longer does gaming stuff for IGN and she has a non gaming show on G4 . you people need to do some stinking research for once . really what crime did EA commit please tell me oh thats right none . Oh and one other thing Jessica never did any game reviews at IGN she was a on camera talent . who only reported on the big njews items for IGN's Daily Fix. it pays to do some simple research

So we're disliking the outfit for Diana Allers. Stupid sexists and stupid feminists.
Fixed.
Feminism doesn't automatically equal equality.

fact = / opinions.
Nobody cares if you prefer Hale or Meer. That's just like your opinion and not a fact.

Felt very incomplete if you ask me. No maleshep, no tali etc..
Perhaps they wanted to keep the video short. Technically the cast of ME3 is all of the voice actors (I think I counted 47 on IMDB).

She has never been a VA, but she is a professional moderator of several shows. Doesn't that qualify her to voice a reporter in a game?jreezy wrote...

Why on earth would Bioware hire a first-time actress to play one of the major new characters in ME3? It just seems like blatant fan-service!
Major? She's a reporter.

Well, at least on January 18 2012, she was still doing previews (of Mass Effect 3 that is) for G4TV, so even if she no longer works as gaming journalist, there must have been some period of time during which there might have been a room for some conflicts of interests.
Also, even if she wouldn't review the game herself, her involvement in Mass Effect 3 may put a pressure on respective reviewer from G4, because she is now most likely one of bigger stars in G4 and and the company would only benefit from her succes and increased popularity due to Mass Effect 3. Not to mention that she is most likely good friends with many reviewers.
Of course, no sane magazine would probably completely risk its credibility for such short term benefits, but little help or lenience here and there might be quite probable. And the fact that we can even speculate about such things is not a good thing in general IMO.
And last but not least, and this is very speculative and no longer related to CerberusSoldier's post so anyone who reads this should take it with big grain of salt
Obviously, such people are great choice for the companies themselves, because they are very well acquainted with gaming scene and very often have certain degree of popularity and credibility among players, but it IMO kind of undermines the position of reviewers in general. I mean, some of the most vocal supporters and fans of Mass Effects and Bioware in general among gaming journalists were exactly Jessica Chobot and Kristine Steimer. And now they are both associated with Bioware officially. So unfortunately, as a kind of sceptic person when it comes to stuff like this, I can't help but speculate if some other, for now independent journalists are thinking about something like "Hey, maybe if I will promote this game / company in my reviews / shows / podcasts a lot, they will hire me some day too".
All that said, I do not put too much emphasis on this because Mass Effect 3 IMO genuinely looks like it is going to be an excellent game with very positive reviews, but in general, I am not fan of too strong connections between reviewers and game developers / publishers.

i guess anyone's who's on the normandy nowadays is a major character to the series, like our cook/janitor and his epic quest of grocery shopping.

I don't know what all the moaning is about, you can just not have her on the normandy or press X whenever she talks

Not possible. Didn't you hear about the super secret Fight Club ending?
Femshep and Meershep discover that they are the same person. Then they fight over Helena Bonham Carter.
