During the Voice Actor vid when Chobat is being interviewed, if you look closely, one of the guys is Bailey.

.... Wait, so they bring back Bailey but not Mordin's VA?

Don't get me wrong, I love Bailey, but still... Authenticity!

The funny thing is, and I'm glad you quoted yourself as well, is that you made the comment on attractiveness.  Nashkital has repeatedly said that attractiveness was not his focal point.  It was professionalism.  You made the point about a woman being fat and that no one wants to see her scantily clad.  What this says to me is that you know that Allers outfit is meant to titillate and you want it to remain that way for that very reason.  So why is it that people who ask for a certain amount of professionalism have to defend themselves to people who misrepresent their positions.

What I also find funny is that many of the same people who are misrepresenting the points or stances made would be the first ones to tell someone to go watch porn rather than have Mass Effect sex scenes or TW2 sex scenes in a game.  Yet they'll clamor for scantily clad women in gaming.

Thank you Xeranx, I'm not sure if I am articulating properly or not, but I seem to be having trouble getting my points acrossed.

This is why I shake my head in utter WHAT THE HECK! Too BSN, I see Nash's Points, and everyone Else. But Id like to say it is kind of a dead give away of trying to excite male players. Its kind of rude in my opinion. Most Reporters ive seen in Mass Effect ARE over dresses and they did reports on GENERAL news like gangs and other things, Emily Wong. Or in the matters of General things and interviewing a Military officer and Spectre in that case of the annoying one I like to punch....

Now before I get picked at and publicly insulted like people with different opinions like to do on BSN which causes Arguments and locks and lots of other fun goodies and prizes from Chris.

ITS ALREADY BEEN DONE! I dont like it, many others may not but HEY its been DONE! Theres nothing we can do except start begging for an Alt Appearance for her if she isnt just a stand around person on the ship to talk too. ON THAT NOTE. Why are people getting rude about this? Youll have typical people all over the place dispute this issue. Post your opinion and if someone says something Negetive why must it turn into a war on BSN?

So by "Cast Reveal" you mean, some of the cast. Seriously, where is Mark Meer? Is he afraid of cameras? I don't think so as he was in an improv show. What is with the graphics? I hope that those images are from an "early version" of the game because things just look... off.

Otherwise, I do enjoy the limited cast as you've shown it. We even got a glimpse at FemShep which is interesting. More interesting is that Jen Hale gets more screen time than Mark Meer who's character gets more screen time than hers. Weird. Since I know nothing of Jessica Chobot, I reserve judgement until I play the game. As for Freddy Prinze Jr. this might be just the thing for him.

Ali Hillis could talk me into anything.

I think some may want to fully understand where you're coming from, some are caught up in the argument and respond when something they read appears similar to something they disagree with, some are late to the discussion, and others are just in it for the argument.  The latter is easier to take care of once they let slip their position.:)

If we have a choice to let on on the ship then hopefully that choice extends to exactly what reporter you let on. Emily Wong will be my war reporter if possible. Hell, I'll take Al-Jilani over Allers.

Super psyched for Jessica Chobot. She's been a fan FOREVER, so its cool that she got a role in the game.

I like adding both Jessica and Freddie to the cast, I think with them being big fans, we'll hear some great voice work because of it!  People who love their jobs always do a better job that if it was just a paycheck!

The star-studded cast for Mass Effect 3 includes the return of Golden Globe winner Sheen (“The Departed”, “Apocalypse Now”), Seth Green (“Robot Chicken”, “Family Guy”) as Joker, Tricia Helfer (“Battlestar Galactica”) as the Normandy’s A.I., Yvonne Strahovski (“Chuck”) as Miranda, and Carrie-Anne Moss (“The Matrix”)
as Aria T'Loak. Other returning fan favorites include Meer and Hale as
Male and Female Shepard, Ali Hillis as Dr. Liara T’Soni, Keith David (“Platoon”) as Captain Anderson and Lance Henriksen (“Aliens”) as Admiral Steven Hackett. Prinze, Jr. (“24”) and Jessica Chobot (G4 TV), as news reporter Diana Allers, are the newcomers to the series. ~~~~QFA

Raphel Sbarge and
Kimberly  Brooks,  why do these two get left out?  Just saying, they have pretty big roles in ME1 & 3

Ok I assume Tali's just being kept under wraps because we all want to be surprised at her new look but beyond that The sets look cool, I get to box and is that a sparring area on the Normandy? If so FINALLY SOMETHING USEFUL. I really wanted one after Garrus came on board and Grunt wanting to kill me it made sense for one to be installed.

Um lets see Diana looks ugly I think I found someone who looks uglier then Miranda! But speaking of ugly did I see Conrad? PLEASE tell me he isn't joining my crew!

And speaking of crew Vega says he'd like to stay where ever he is so can I tell him to do just that and then fill his slot with someone else or is his spot just gone? I'm asking because Jack pulled the same I don't want to go with you stunt and when I told her she didn't have to she still came along so I don't want that happening twice if they want to stay I'm more then happy to let them fry.

Seriously though, I wonder if Bioware has considered that they may have tripped into an ethnics violation issue with hiring of Chobot. Even if it's a small part, the fact is that they hired a gaming reporter for a game makes it look like they're "buying" their way to a perfect score, even if that's not the intent. Someone didn't think this through.

You're not the only one who thinks that.

"While this is no doubt great news for Chobot, as she's getting a chance to contribute to a top-tier video game from one of her favorite developers, the way the announcement was handled presents a bit of an ethical quandary for both EA and G4 TV.

Why?

Because a mere two weeks ago, G4 TV had Chobot previewing Mass Effect 3 in her capacity as a journalist.
No matter how you slice it, this looks bad."

:sigh: so you believe an article over your own judgement when the games out?

so freaking what she did me3 on g4 tv! ever stop to realize that maybe mass effect could help chobots career? heck look at freddie prinz jr. that man hasnt done anything since scooby doo and for all we know me3 could help his career.

im not knocking the cast hell i enjoy what i heard  but seriously use your brain people before you speak

You seem rather ignorant of the implications that this situation causes.

lol im ignorant? why because i dont rant and rave like a child about some new charachter and a voice actress you never even heard of? lol wow thats calling the kettle black.

wooptie do bioware got someone from ign to voice a charachter and thats an issue how exactly?

and wooptie do  the woman is inteligant and actually  plays games and once again how is that a issue ?

heres a thought you either are just a whiney little troll who trys to act like this big feminest or you really have no idea about women in general.

now the comment i just made here ^^^^ it isnt being ignorant its just a fact

Tazz thats not what Jreezy was saying - it was in regards to being ignorant about the conflict of interest that may arise from this.

Its the metacritic equal of a kick back.

If we use media and advertisements to base our opinion about wether or not we should buy the game, which is the whole point of advertising and reporting on products, but the person doing the reporting is in the game - they're not going to slag their own game and tell people to not buy it. It becomes a biased report without fair commentary.

Jreezy wasn't implying you were ignorant or anything about feminism or what not - just that you missed the conflict of interest that has arisen now.

It seems to me this entire question centers around Chobot's role at G4 and IGN.  Has she ever been employed as a "game reviewer" by either entity?  Correct me if I am wrong, but she has always been employed in a commentator role. So, by putting her in a video game that both outlets will review does it create a conflict of intrest if she isn't being paid to review ME3 by said outlets?

I could see how some people might think this creates an ethical problem for both networks, but if all she does is talk about the game in a general way I don't think anyone could really say EA "bought" a good score by employing her as a VA.  Besides, does anyone think that the official reviewers at G4 or IGN are actually going to rate this game poorly?
