She's meant to encourage by showing Shepard, the symbol of the fight against the Reapers. Shepard is on the Normandy. Ergo...

This seems so obvious to me, I'm not sure what the issue is.

Shep being military/Spectre is probably used to being a bit more secretive but in the face of such daunting odds I think the races of the galaxy need to be shown victories, even small ones, to encourage people to fight on.

Think of the reporting during WWII after the Doolittle Raid on Japan from B-25 bombers off the carrier Hornet.  Up to that point, the U.S. and the rest of the Allies were mostly losing the war in the Pacific let alone the other regions the war was raging and that victory, however small, was a major morale booster.   Morale/fighting spirit is just as important as bullets... or thermal clips, in many regards.  The Alliance and the other races will need someone capable and qualified to spread information of Sheps victories and it appears Diana is that someone in ME3.  Could Emili Wong have done this?  Probably but maybe BW had issues getting her VA or she was otherwise unavailable.  Who knows.  We get Diana and I eagerly await to see what she has to contribute.

There could still be two Lesbian characters although I doubt it.

well heres what i think.

interests like the me1 squad regarding kaidan is oviously hetro ( dont know why since he seems like a closet type) liara and ash. im kind of leaning torwards more bisexual than gay or straight.

i think certain fan loved charachters will be straight like garrus, tali, thane,

the same sex otpions would be diana, james vega, and maybe some new normandy crew that are npc.

Well if you didn't know there are two S/S options on the Normandy. Steve and Samantha. Thats why I said if Diana is a lesbian then she is the second one on the Normandy.

Because if Allers is reporting on Shepard, then by implication, she's going to ask you about what you've already done. What you didn't do. Who you lost. Maybe this fresh set of eyes can provide a new context or a new way of looking at things. And you'll have to respond.

The devs said they wanted to deepen Shepard's character. Maybe this is one of the ways to do it.

Gamers get more worked up over trivila nonsense that talking to my family about politics... which get heated and vocal to say the least.  It's better to run, not walk, from the room sometimes.

I for one look forward to see what Jess has to contribute as Diana and if she's always wearing that tank top when on the Normandy.... fine by me.  Maybe she has a spare for my femshep!

tbh i got it from a poster on another forum. i didnt read the script everyone else read because the one i read was  to incomplete.

and tbh again i am very confused as to what everyones talking about regarding certain things becaus ei think the one i read was diffrent

Don't really care. New people pop up all the time in all sorts of places. The idea that there are only 2 human female reporters in the entirety of alliance/citadel space is kind of retarded. We haven't heard of her before so far, so she's definitely new to the job. That only means she pulled quite a few strings to get inside the Normandy, which means she must be somehow well connected. Only problem is we don't know how. Maybe we will find out, maybe we won't.

If she's interesting enough and has more than 4 or 5 lines of dialogue, she might be memorable. Otherwise, she's not an integral part of the squad, can be avoided, I can just pretend I shoved her out the airlock. If the latter turns out to be true, it's a shame that time, effort and budget was wasted on her. If she's fun, great!

Don't really have a gripe, nor verdict till I actually get to interact with her. Only thing that bothers me is the outfit. Seriously, I've seen some h****rs that dress classier than that and trust me, she isn't dressed for flexibility in the battlefield. She's just flaunting the goods. Not that showing what you got is bad, just that there are better ways you can go at it. Samara does come to mind ...
