We all learned this morning that G4's own correspondent Jessica Chobot, star of X-Play, Attack of the Show and Feedback, will appear as Diana Allers, a reporter, in the upcoming sci-fi RPG Mass Effect 3. She'll join Martin Sheen, Freddie Prinze Jr. and other big stars in the game.

“It's a dream come true. I’m excited, stoked and honored. I’m seriously in 7th heaven," Chobot said. "It's cool just because it’s in a video game, but it’s also for one of my favorite companies of all time, Bioware, and in one of the most epic series of all time, Mass Effect 3."

Chobot says the sight of herself as a virtual character was a bit of a shock at first.  "You're just not used to seeing yourself like that,"she explained, "I have huge chipmunk cheeks. I hope I don’t look like a chipmunk in real life...and the butt and boobs are impressive. I wish I had boobs like that, and the butt is quite large. I hope my butt is not that big, but I’m happy that everything looks very firm in the game."

Given Mass Effect's popular romance features, I had to ask her: Will gamers be able to have a meaningful, romantic space-relationship with Ms. Chobot?  "Last I heard, I am one of the 'romanceable' characters in the game," Chobot said. "I think you can bring me on the Normandy, I think you have the option of kicking me off too. I’m not sure if that’s before or after you romance me, so we might have a Jersey Shore moment. I think you can romance me with a man or a woman. We’ll see when the game comes out," Chobot added.

When asked whether she planned to "romance" herself, Chobot said, "Oh, I’m gonna give it to me so hard."

Well, okay, maybe she just has a good sense of humor, but still, I get baaad vibes.

All I saw from that was someone actually attempting to be pretty funny and not totally failing. Eh if people are really starting to dislike Chobot due to this then whatever. Somepeople are really too quick to judge.

What do I know I don't really care enough about this to look her up for the sole reason of seeing if I like her or not. I'll wait until the game comes out. She could be pretty good or a fail but I seriously doubt it would be awful.

Yeah. Its a knee jerk reaction ,if anything. Diana Allers makes me grit my teeth a little and ask 'But... how does this add to the greater sci-fi story...? I don't get it.'

EDI, on the other hand... Her appearance still irks me, but if they handle it right, it might work. I swear to god though. For every lady ass shot, there better be just as many dude ass shots and flex images. If you are going to play 'Sex Sales', try to do it fairly.

Buuuuut weeee will seeeeeeee.

That's fair enough, I thought she was going to wind up looking like Caprica Six which would have been horrible.
But that damn dress is really out of place and kind of hard to ignore.

I am wondering what she will be like near the end of the game. You see in a movie like We were once soldiers how the reporter changes by the end. I am wondering if she will have that same arc (i think its an arc). If you have never seen that movie then go buy/rent/other option it right now! I kinda want her to say a quote like he did in the movie. ya know what? just look at joe galloway under this. There are spoilers so if you have not seen the movie then go do so unless you dont care. joe is the reporter

They've done it in ME2 we saw just as many Jacob ass shots as we did Miranda. I would prefer they don't do it but if they did it will likely be both sides. You can say whatever you like about Bioware but when they pander they usually pander to both genders.

If you're going to ask that you might as well ask how every support NPC adds to the Sci-Fi story. But then again, maybe you do.

I don't think Diana Allers is going to add some crucial component to the story (she can but I'm not expecting it). But she can still be a fun and interesting character in her own right. That depends both on implemenation and presentation. It's a collab between writers and the actor.

I much prefer  ass shot just be in context and not a random points in the consveration  because that crap was just annonying and I'm Guy. I sitting here trying  read this dialogue.... why is Miranda ass in the way.  High School of the Dead can pull it   in the conext of the Zombie Apocolpyse because there are some humorous over tones in a rather bleak situation.

I've watched a few episodes, when I feel like laughing at cheap looking drunk people who yell at eachother and never grew out of the shallow, hormonal hibernation of middle school.

Laughing at dumb drunks is fun. Especially when they laugh back at me for making MILLIONS of dollars because I flipped through them on netflix.
