No but seriously, I'm excited for this character. My day was dead boring until this announcement came out. And I have no reason to resent her because she's not taking up a squadmate spot (as far as I'm aware).

Couple of things regarding spoilers (this will be added to OP eventually):

I haven't read the leak. I'm sure others are in the same boat. I know a thread like this is likely to draw some spoilers (and if I get spoiled it's partly my own damn fault). But I would ask that you please refrain from direct spoilers. If you know something we don't you can streer conversation away from outlandish direction indirectly. But don't just go "no actually snape kills dumbledore lolol"

reporter?...I think this will be interesting. I liked in movies, where a female reporter was always bugging the main character. lol

I'm in on this. I've always liked Jessica Chobot, and I am very glad she has the opportunity to be in the game. She loves Mass Effect as she has said many times before. She deserves this. If she is romanceable, I will be making a new play-through just for her. I've always liked her when she was at IGN. I think she still works there, I am not sure though.

Once upon a time, she was the main IGN poster girl and she has had a good career with them doing actual work and not just being a poster girl. She also recently co-starred a show (Proving grounds) with  Ryan Dunn (who passed) and now I am not entirely sure what she is doing (aside from being in possibly the best game ever known to man now)

and it looks like  were in her  little work space... god forbid ... some want to be comfortable on a frigate... you know   a ship that is not built to be luxury liner from the start.

If I recall, it's also the symbol used for the Alliance News Network though, that we saw in the live-action trailer... so if she's a reporter, then it kind of fits.

I know that if I were an embedded reporter following soldiers risking their lives in dangerous areas of the world, I would want to wear a latex minidress with the symbol of my country's military on my boob.

It would mark me as a serious journalist. And it's so classy.
