Try looking at some videos of her too, either doing a thing for IGN or what have you. I think that'll get you a better idea. Even if someone is really attractive they can have quite a few pictures that really undercut that. For example I think most people would agree Jennifer Aniston is really attractive. But I've hated nearly every magazine cover she's ever done. The pics just looked odd and actually detracted (in my opinion anyway) from her beauty.

But yeah this is merely a tangent. Let's see what Diana has to show for herself.

Sorry Cricket....yes, I saw quite a number of pics...but how do I explain my perception without appearing a complete freak........call it intuition, call it gut instinct, it doesn't matter, but I do know what I have learnt the hard way through life is do not ignore the very first perception, it always turns out to be the correct one....I just found it hard to gauge Jessica's physical attractiveness after that.

As for Diana, I do hope BW releases a little more information about her before the game....as my dreams of Kasumi continue to feel more and more crushed, I really do hope with fingers and toes crossed that BW gives us an LI possibility that my Sheps may find more to their liking.....easy going, laid back, funny, no hang ups kinda gal...hoping BW has filled that niche at least....am looking at Diana with curious anticipation.

Question: How do people see having a Reporter on board the Normandy?

Myself...knee jerk reaction was "HELL NO!"....But as I thought more about it, it could work in Sheps favor....Diana may well, but hopefully not get under foot...the upside is, Shep has been questioned every step of the way...his sanity speculated, etc, etc....And though it's crystal clear to all in ME3 that the Reapers are in fact very real....the shadow of question will continue to remain over Sheps head (human nature) and so Diana's PR could prove advantageous in helping Shep to gather forces....rebuilding galactic trust in him, etc...

I get what you're saying. I think it applies more to first hand contact but I see where you're coming from.

And I do think Diana has the potential to be the LI with the least amount of issues. Her or Kelly.  Everyone else has them in spades (well out of the female LIs anyway, don't pay much attention to the guys). Even Kasumi if I'm right about a distrubing little thought... I can elaborate in the Kasumi thread if you wish.

I too think it could be a really good thing. Though I think a lot of Shepard's personal reputation will be repaired by the very fact that the Reapers are real (hence he's been telling the truth and fighting the good fight all along). Not that some people won't need reminding *pointed glare at Mr. Air-Quote Turian Councilor (he's dead for me but you get the idea).
I see Diana as continually showing the galaxy their symbol of the fight against the Reapers. "He fights for us. The heart and soul of the resistance is out there fighting for all of us. As long as he lives, as long as he fights, how can we do any different?"

I have to agree with Cricket on this one. I've been a member for awhile, and I've seen some strange stuff. Hell, before the Talimancers got their own site, strange was the name of the game.

As for Allers, I trust Bioware enough that I can be sure that she will have an interesting, if not important, role to play. Alot of people give Kelly a great deal of grief over her personality. I know several women, who are either university or tech school educated, with the same kind of personallity. Yet I can telll you that they would shudder at the idea of sleeping around. Would you suspect a nurse for sleeping around just because they are vocal about caring for their patients? The same goes with the Allers character. If she is a reporter, I would expect her to try to get to know Shepard, try to give her audience a better insight into his/her life and the choices that have to be made ect. Yet, unless the voice actor goes out of their way to include sexual undertones, I would not assume that they were trying to bed Shepard.

I personally look forward to see what Bioware has done with this character. Even in the past, with games that have received less than stellar reviews, I have been pleased with the level of writting and characterization that goes into their games.

After all, if a computer game company can create Alistar, a character that I created a female warden just to experience the romance plot with, can get me interested in RPing as a female with a male squeeze, then they have to be doing something right. LOL!

Ok, I don't find her outfit offensive and her figure is decent, but I cannot see how her face is supposed to be attractive. It's.....just wrong compared to her model....what is it? Is it because it's too lumpy, like she hasn't had enough sleep? Is it the lighting? The eyes too close together? Gaaaahhh! Design class has made my nitpickiness worse than ever!

Personally, I don't find Ms Chobot that "hot," and I find her scanned in-game face as ugly as Miranda's. I think it's because I can compare it to the actual person; for that same reason I find Sheploo's face a bit off too, although much less so. BioWare has done enough WTF outfits in ME already, that another one doesn't really bother me beyond the initial "oh they did it again" reaction.

As for the character Diana Allers, I'll give her the benefit of the doubt, despite the exclusion of pre-existing reporters. We didn't really need James Vega either, but he still looks interesting.

Will any of my Shepards pursue her as LI? No. She's a little too late in the story for that, and I don't need to nerdgasm by "sleeping with Jessica Chobot" (in avatar format, no less).

Speaking of Jessica Chobot, yes, she is an attractive woman, but she's not the sort of person I would stare at for minutes at a time. Plus, like Miranda, she is pretty ugly in-game.

Because for some, it's so much easier expressing pointless rage and negativity fueled by ill-informed opinions rather than taking a step back, letting the character's story unfold and finding out if the surface details actually don't matter.

If, when all is said and done, Diana Allers proves to be a largely pointless, frustrating, and/or unintentionally (and unwelcomely) funny element to ME3, then and only then will all this raging be based on anything remotely tangible.

Yeah first impressions are very telling and pretty accurate, but not many have met a known physcopath, haha. Kind of like what I've seen with Diana/Chobot do far(from the Internet, though) and I'm pretty sure she's not a ~path. 

Her blog/fb/official page looks a lot like those of some of my female classmates, though. Find it hard to picture her as 30+, lol.

You know, I see that too.... which is why I don't think it's a good idea for Jack to be on the ship. Can't have people randomly punching each other, especially if they've got biotics.

Speaking of that though, where do you think Allers might stay aboard the Normandy? Assuming the layout's the same as the SR2, I think one of the observation decks, either port or starboard. Deck 2 was where most of the crew could be found. She probably wouldn't be allowed to loiter around the CIC though she could probably go there briefly.

That's no way to keep discipline aboard a ship. And it's not the kind of crap you need to be dealing with when preparing to fight Mecha-Cthulu.

Interesting about needing quiet to write. I could see that. But I think she'd also need to be close to people, to see them working. I would say Garrus' spot as a compromise except that's weapons and well... Garrus' spot. He is back after all.

Maybe they merge Mordin's lab and the med-bay and use that space? I still think it should be on deck 2 though... and I don't think Allers should be too close to the bridge.
