Frankly, I think that the term "doubting Thomas" should be revised to "doubting Councilor." It conveys a far more vehement approach to doubt than Thomas ever did as well as a steadfast blindness to the truth. In fact, based on past actions it is likely that the Council will require proof that the Reaper invasion is actually real and not some staged event to lure them into action thereby creating a war with the Terminus systems.
If the situation wasn't so grim and trillions of lives weren't on the line, the Citadel Council would be a laughing stock. I don't see how Allers is going to change that. Nice eye candy though.

I don't think Allers is there for the Council, or indeed for any government or military unit. As you say anything she presents could very well be lies and propaganda either for Shepard or some other bias. Besides the fact that Shepard is aware of it could skew the coverage, not show exactly what he's doing when it matters most. If anything, such agencies would have informers or outright spies stationed onboard able to provide accurate info undetected.knightnblu wrote...
While it is true that Shepard would have documentation for each and every thing that he does so that the Council can finally believe him, who's to say that the Council won't dismiss her reports as being nothing more than propaganda, spin, trick photography, and clever camera angles?

Allers on the other hand is there I think for the people, the common joes in colonies and on the Citadel. Her job is propaganda, showing civilians their hero in action, the symbol of their fight against the Reapers.
And of course all that aside, the turian councilor can airquote anything out of existance. No reporter tricks are gonna bring him around.

Does sleeping with Allers count against your LI like Liara or Ashley? Or is she Kelly Part II?
She is a "full romance" in the sense that if you were in a previous relationship your LI will call you on it if romance her. Also romancing her is not an option if you're locked in with someone else in ME3.
Otherwise OP has been updated with what I know from my playthrough and what info I found in 5 min of googling. I didn't get much of a chance to check her out during my playthrough and since getting RGB'd I don't feel like going back. If anyone wants any new info or pics added to OP just say so.

Such a waste, all to get IGN on their side.

What did you like? Acting aside, I feel they didn't characterize Allers at all. She's got a bit about Bekenstein but otherwise she doesn't seem to say anything that's not a news report or an interview question.Arcian wrote...
I read about Allers in the november script leaks and liked what I found, but Chobot managed to completely butcher her character with some of the most wooden and emotionless acting I have ever heard.

Don't think so. I think it's only ME3 squadmate LIs. Everyone else gets the romance shaft. You know as their getting the ending shaft. Shaft within the shaft.Romudeth wrote...
If you romance Diana, will you see her come out of the Normandy at the end of the game?
SHAFTCEPTION!

Not really sure about Diana, If you didn't Romance anyone else. It's possible you will see Diana come out at the End. I don't know anyone who only Romanced Diana to ask if this is true or not.
As for Only Squadmates, that is not true. Samantha & Steve if Romanced will come out at the end.

A few things to discuss:
1. Maybe finding out from Bioware what the thought process was for her initial creation vs her implementation. What were they thinking of doing with her, why didn't it all happen. And no need for "it was just IGN advertising LOL" we're aware, thanks.
2. Did Jessica Chobot make any comments about how it turned out?
3. As it stands Diana's a pretty blank slate. We could talk about filling in stuff for her on our own. More background, character traits etc. What does she make of all this?
4. With enough support, perhaps we can query Bioware for the inclusion of more content for her in future DLC. It's a long shot given the number of indifferent and hater groups but it's worth considering.

Also, it would have been nice to get to know Diana Allers more as character throughout the game. Some things that they could have done are: More interviews after each Priority mission or perhaps a casual one-on-one chat that would lead into a serious romance.
