Why can't they put body armour on her like real life war correspondents? she looked like she just came out of the swimming pool in this pic.

Why would she be wearing body armor here?  She's clearly on the Normandy not even Shepard is wearing armor.  

 


because to some people Armor must worn at all times included when taking a shower , having sex or taking a dump. 

Of course, that way your ready for every situation. But when I say body armour, I meant like a vest, not an entire SET of body armour like Shepard's or Vega's.

Ready for what?  She's on the freaking Normandy if they get attacked a vest isn't going to do a lot of good against reaper lasers.  Not only that but look at the second half of the picture Shepard isn't wearing armor or a vest or anything but his casual outfit, plus maybe she just finished working out or something idk.

I really don't care what she looks like or whether or not she's "fanservice". I like the idea of having a reporter aboard the Normandy. I do hope that Emily Wong isn't forgotten though, as I recall my Shepard still owes her an interview from ME1.

It's pandering for sure.  As long as it isn't shameless pandering that I can't avoid though, it really shouldn't affect my enjoyment of the game.  I'll focus on the characters who are important to me, ones that have been with my Shepard from the beginning or for a good long while like Liara, Joker, Garrus, Kaidan, and Anderson.

well i dont know who she is so i guess im out of the loop on that,but from what i remember about the leak,isnt her role like kelly from me2? i saw a floating cam in the video just next to shepards left side.

but im gonna wait till i play the game to speak my mind on how i feel about this new crew member

That just put a really funny image in my head.  The Normandy's crew is comprised entirely of nerd-bait women.  Jessica Chobot, Olivia Munn, Zooey Deschanel, Kaley Cuoco, Sara Underwood, all serving on the Normandy in the places of the likes of Chakwas, Joker, Gabby and "Scotty," Kelly, and most of all chef Rupert.

So your saying its better for a female war correspondent to wear a skimpy 1-piece bathing suit rather than a vest or a shirt huh, well I hope you have fun with your pixelated Chobot. Also, I'm pretty sure Shepard is wearing something like a vest, at least it looks like one to me. Just from the Cast video, she looks out of place in the ME universe. I'll reserve judgement until the game is out though.

Shep doesn't land on those planets just to fight wars, there is a reason he has female crew.  Those tricks turn a nice profit.

Does anyone else think that Diane Allers has more of a zing to it?  Sounds more "reportery" to me.  Diane Allers!  Given that Diana and Allers end and begin (respectively) with the same letter, it sounds kind of awkward when you say it.

I'm not opposed to the name Diana.  I just think Diana in conjunction with Allers makes the name awkward to say.  Diana Mallers for instance is much easier to say.  I hate words that begin and end with the same vowels.  This is why brits resort to intrusive r's (e.g. Dianer Allers).  Inserting a consonant makes the words roll off the tongue easier.  Meh, to each their own I guess.

I don't understand what's so hard about saying Diana Allers.

Nor do I understand what's wrong with how she looks. I think she looks stunning and awesome. I wish we could get FemShep to wear something like that on the normandy.
