Bioware is turning into the Team Ninja of west in this department. Wouldnt be surprised if the next ME title is called Mass Effect: Virmire Beach Volleyball.

i just image googled her voice actor. She looks nice.
At first there was something about Diana's cheeks that seemed.. off...but now I see that in real life Jess does have very pronounced cheeks.
I read an interview somewhere where Jess jokes about her boobs and butt being a bit bigger in the xfer but she (and I) thinks it looks good.
That's why I don't mind her in-game look. It fits Jess' real appearance.

What annoys me is that so many gamers think that if an attractive woman is a gamer, she's not really a gamer and is a fake.
Chobot does play games. I think you are thinking of Olivia Munn. Chobot has played Mass Effect 1 and 2 through, which sparked her online campaign to have BioWare give her a part. She talks and shows that she plays games on her twitter frequently.
I know Chobot plays games, that's why I'm happy for her. I was commenting on those thinking that Chobot doesn't play games and that she's just some random hot chick.

I tried to start a new thread, but thought I'd contribute here too. I'm unfortunately in the camp that disagrees with her being in the game. I just hope I can avoid her character because every time I see her, I'm not going to see Dianna whatever her last name is, I'm going to see IGN's Jessica Chobot. It's just a bad decision on Bioware's part to make her in-game model that freakin close to how she looks in real life. I wish they'd change it.
Face mapping is common. Default Shep was face mapped from a Dutch model. You don't look at your character as a Dutch model.
Get. Over. it.

I thought it'd take a long time, but it didn't take a long time at all.
I see Diana Allers in ME3, not Chobot.

She totally plays games, I mean she was talking about how she was honoured to be in Mass Effect 3 and that she wanted to see Shepard's story end! That means she must've played the first two, never mind how she didn't know Mordin's name.
Of course she is serious about gaming. Don’t you see those photos of her playing that were posted? That proves it!

I wonder then, do people see seth green instead of joker (as I do)?
Seth Green's voice is too unique sounding to hear anyone but.

Let's get back to concerns like, 'Does ME 3 have a more dynamic story than ME2?'
Or "Do the females have too much makeup" or "Why is there no Femshep trailer" or "Omg, they gave a female long hair, over-sexualization".

Whether she plays ME or not really doesn't matter (most of the cast hasn't to my knowledge), as that isn't the only game franchise available. Off the top of my head, I know she plays the Silent Hill games (I'm not overly familiar with her or her work, as I never cared for IGN).
But of course, attractive women can't play games, especially those who work in that industry.

She does play the ME games. Just not religiously, like some of us here.

Other than that, I like the rest of what I've heard. Having a reporter on board the Normandy sounds interesting and I like Jessica Chobot. Looking forward to Allers and Vega.

If it is a small role and she does not measure up than it is easily over looked. If she does well in the small part then good it is good on the whole. If it is a prominent role and she does well; then even better. If it is a disaster with a bigger role; then it will cast a very unpleasant light on BioWare if they try something like this again.
It is the last possibility that worries me the most. It rings of stunt casting and if she does poorly, it will just seem more so.
