Lol, thank you. No, I don't know she might have a life, she's journalist, maybe she didn't do 14 playthoughts like everyone on this board, she has maybe other things to do. That makes sense.

And as far as I remember I saw some male journalists who said some mistakes about Mass effect, as if they didn't play the game, they did.

This isn't what people are complaining about.  Most aren't doubting she can say her lines, they are doubting whether the character itself will do well in the game and not just be there because she can be.

That is why it is subjective. I might not like Morinth's voice acting (just as an hypothetical) but she was still left into the game. I do not have to like every decision made for a game to still enjoy the game. As I have stated previously, I am cautious but I am not going to bash her outright until I actually hear her in the game. If she does well, then my words will be humbly eaten. With a side of crow.

I am also not trying to say I want her to fail either. I hope she does well that can only be good for everyone involved. It is a really harsh scale however. If it is a small role then mistakes can be overlooked, unless someone is overly critical, but the larger the role the least likely people will forgive mistakes. This is where a lot of the discussion, and by extension dissension, comes from... we have little to go on with how big of a part she has.

Chobot does play games. I think you are thinking of Olivia Munn. Chobot has played Mass Effect 1 and 2 through, which sparked her online campaign to have BioWare give her a part. She talks and shows that she plays games on her twitter frequently.

I know Chobot plays games, that's why I'm happy for her. I was commenting on those thinking that Chobot doesn't play games and that she's just some random hot chick.

She has played through both ME1 and ME2. That is why she started a twitter campaign to get BioWare's attention that she wanted to be in ME3.

My issue with Diana is that it's "Jessica Chobot as Diana Allers!" rather than "Here's Diana Allers (played be Jessica Chobot)!" There's a difference there. It's the same thing I didn't like Felicia Day as Talis. Bioware is making it about the actress and her nerd cred rather than the character herself. So when I play the game I see Jessica Chobot, not Diana Allers, which breaks immersion for me.

This thread has gotten way repetitive. She's in the game, like it or not, but the criticisms seem to all be redundant a this point. I personally think its very cool Jess is in the game. I dont see how her character looking like her is any different than Miranda looking like Yvonne.

You just don't get it. Chobot works for IGN! IGN will give them a good review and then release the Skynet virus and everbody will give ME 3 a good review. Don't listen to the suits man! This doesn't have anything to do with the game. It's about control man. She looks like Snooki man. Everybody knows Mtv controls the media man!
