Kelly is still on board.

And there's an automatic fish feeder.

@GodWood, you lie! Such a thing has not been invented! It's only been three months, too soon for such leaps in technology!

than everyone on the ship would have to wear armor all the time, sorry but that's not going to happen . . . just look at submarines, not everyone on it wears a dive suit, in fact no one on a submarine wears a dive suit, ever

They don't wear fetish dresses either.

apparently you've never served on a submarine or kno ppl who have, they do wear muscle tees and shorts, they don't do it when they're on duty but when they aren't they do wear very relaxing clothes

She's not wearing a tee or a tank top, its a latex dress. You don't know what you're talking about.

Image IPB

maybe this is just the "future" version of relaxing clothes

Do you even believe what you just wrote? I sincerely doubt it.

Pretty much this. I used to wear khaki shorts and a tank top when I wasn't on 'duty'. If I'm in my hooch... I do what the ef I want. If I have to strut around the FOB sure I'm going to throw on my PT's or ACU's so I don't have some dingleterd harassing me about it.

And you know they do because? They say so? heh

Furthermore, when the Normandy was an Alliance ship in ME1, did you see anyone in their casual clothing? That was the original point.

because i am currently serving in the military, because i've actually been to both Iraq and Afghanistan

you didn't see them in their casual clothing because everyone seemed to be ON DUTY, you wear your uniform when you are working

Out of curiosity, have you ever had an embedded journalist stay with at camp?

Yeah, they're typically floating about. We never had one assigned to any of the units I was with, but we did escort a few.

Pretty much, some 5.11 khakis and a polo. Or the older tri-color "desert"  BDU's.

The outfit does look weird from a design perspective. It's like gym wear on top and cocktail dress on the bottom.

Exactly my point. What woman would willingly wear a tight pleather dress to hang out or to simply wear where they are staying? No one in their right mind would war that to hang out on a war ship. I thought she was originally in a tank-top and fatigues and that made sense. But this get-up looks ridiculous, that's my issue.

It’s a Galactic war lol. Everyone on the Normandy is working. Why would they not be on duty?

Even when the Normandy was a Cerberus ship, they wore uniforms. It makes no sense that all of a sudden the Normandy in Mass Effect 3 would be different. Not even at the beginning of the demo when Shepard is in custody does he wear lounging clothes. He is still wearing Alliance issue clothing.

In your opinion, since you've actually dealt with them on ocassion, would you ever see a journalist in a dress at a military camp?

a warship is much different than being on the ground, there's actually a huge, huge difference, ship board life is way more relaxed than being in a combat zone, especially when your off duty

I wonder if she's just trying to seduce shepard with that outfit. It does seem kind of odd to be wearing unless you were going to the gym.

how do we know she's military and not a civilian? because her dress has a alliance symbol on it? i've seen reporters wear army uniforms and we all know that he's not army just by the way he looks, just b/c she is with military personnel doesn't mean that she has to abide by their uniform regulations

Not walking around, but I've seen them in bathing suit tops and all other manner of things. Just I have seen fellow soldiers, Marines, etc. Theres just no use for a dress or really any "formal" wear. Not like we were holding gala events at the chow hall. Not to say they aren't wearing a spandex cat suit inside their pod, for all I know.

i've seen it, she was coming in to interview several Marines and sailors, granted she didn't actually go out with us but at the FOB, its relatively secure

it wasn't a miniskirt or anything but she was in a dress

So Ive heard, its basically your floating home. So it only makes sense they would be more relaxed with off duty personell. Never hear an argument from me. I spent 28 months in the suck, sometimes you just wanna walk around in some civies to feel like a normal person again. Destress 101.

I can’t say why on the forums. I’ll just assume you don't know anything about the leaked script, and you can assume that I do.

EDIT: And even if she were a “normal” journalist, her outfit it silly for her station, considering she is covering a war in which millions will be losing their lives, imo.
