how do we know she's military and not a civilian? because her dress has a alliance symbol on it? i've seen reporters wear army uniforms and we all know that he's not army just by the way he looks, just b/c she is with military personnel doesn't mean that she has to abide by their uniform regulations

I can’t say why on the forums. I’ll just assume you don't know anything about the leaked script, and you can assume that I do.

no i actually haven't read the leaked script

way to spoil it for me Image IPB

because i am currently serving in the military, because i've actually been to both Iraq and Afghanistan

you didn't see them in their casual clothing because everyone seemed to be ON DUTY, you wear your uniform when you are working

It’s a Galactic war lol. Everyone on the Normandy is working. Why would they not be on duty?

Even when the Normandy was a Cerberus ship, they wore uniforms. It makes no sense that all of a sudden the Normandy in Mass Effect 3 would be different. Not even at the beginning of the demo when Shepard is in custody does he wear lounging clothes. He is still wearing Alliance issue clothing.

Duty or not, I know for a fact, when journalists petition the military and State Department to get permission to be embedded with a unit, they're given contracts they have to sign that states what they can and can't bring with them along with a dress guidline. Granted I doubt anyone checks up on it but its there.

To me her look just looks nothing like any embed I've ever seen and as a journalism student I've looked in to that s**t a lot. Khaki's and a tee or tank is standard fare, but this thing looks ridiculous.

I still hope that she is not a "reporter."

If so she's off my bridge and stuck in a corner somewhere with very little through traffic. Samara's, and Kasumi's "rooms" are out of the way enough for me, until she gets off the ship entirely if she ever gets on in the first place.

On the other hand, if she's an Alliance liaison for Hackett or some other brass, then I'm fine with her being on the Normandy since she would have to be trained military personnel.

we don't care what they look like as long as they're not wearing some bright orange hat and make themselves, and potentialy us, targets

also i've seen females wear dresses, though they aren't imbedded with us, they're simply passing through doing interviews w/ military personnel

a warship is much different than being on the ground, there's actually a huge, huge difference, ship board life is way more relaxed than being in a combat zone, especially when your off duty

So Ive heard, its basically your floating home. So it only makes sense they would be more relaxed with off duty personell. Never hear an argument from me. I spent 28 months in the suck, sometimes you just wanna walk around in some civies to feel like a normal person again. Destress 101.

shipboard life sux, i served 20 mos in the sandbox and 10 in the afghan, but god shipboard life Image IPB, i'd rather have my boots on the ground

I heard that, when I was enlisting I highly considered the Marines but then realized 1)I cant swim for ish, 2)I don't want to get put on a damned boat lol. Dry land is where its at. But handshake to you, good to see a brother combat vet on the board.

and sorry for slightly derailing the arguments at hand, carry on BSN, carry on

Yeah, I didn’t spoil anything. You just asked how I knew some things about her and I told you. I revealed nothing. Don’t be so dramatic.

Also, her character design is ridiculous. Not oversexualized, just impractical and goofy. Who wears a latex fetish dress?

I wouldn't exactly call that a dress.

android654 posted a really good screen of Diana’s ensemble in her character thread. How can anyone see that and believe that dress is appropriate for her profession, setting and situation?

Edit: I would link it, but I seem to be having some issues doing so. Maybe (s)he can post it here.

Thank you. :) My copy/paste is on strike, or my laptop one. Can't figure out which since either only works when it wishes to.
