hey does anyone know of a bioware source that offiacly says she a a f/m romance?
She confirms it herself in an interview she gave. She says you can romance her if you’re male or female and you can also choose to bring her on the Normandy, or kick her off.
The interview is floating around somewhere, I would check her official thread in the Romance section. It’s probably there.

Before saying this was a mistake, I am going to hold my opinion on her casting until I play it. With that said, her character model is disappointing. It kind of looks like her, if she were to become addicted to meth.

This is no different from that outrageous Felica Day thing in DA...there was no reason for that eaither...just catering to this because they are "famous" gamer girls.

From my thread earlier:
According to Jessica Chobot on this week's Feedback (G4TV Podcast), she says that she plays a reporter and that Shepard has the option to have sex with her.
She talks about it at the 55:10 mark:

Audio:
There is also an interview posted at G4TV where she talks about the experience:

"Last I heard, I am one of the 'romanceable' characters in the game," Chobot said. "I think you can bring me on theNormandy, I think you have the option of kicking me off too. I’m not sure if that’s before or after you romance me, so we might have a Jersey Shore moment. I think you can romance me with a man or a woman. We’ll see when the game comes out," Chobot added."

I'ves seen so many Jersey Shore comments on these Diana pages. Once the game comes out.. I can't wait for the modders to come up with a Video of Diana or Vega dancing in some club. (there is always a club in ME). It might actually top the dancing Turian
TAKE THAT BACK RIGHT NOW! lol

I'm just preparing everyone for the fist pumping Dancing Turian revolution. There is so much hate and anger over every little ME3 info that's coming out. Just think of all the laughs we can get everyone, Palaven Shore!

I don't mind -some- fanservice...but stuff like this is just meaningless...there is no reason to add people like this. You could get some actual acting talent and have ACTUAL characters...not just characters that obviously only exsist because "this is a famous person that plays games."
This is no different from that outrageous Felica Day thing in DA...there was no reason for that eaither...just catering to this because they are "famous" gamer girls.
Personally, I would have loved to have Khalisah Al-Jilani as the embedded reporter. Considering the strained relationship she and Shepard have, I think it would have made quite the experience. It would be nice to maybe see her views on Shepard change, to see her respect for him/her grow. Or, to have her there undermining him on every turn. It would have created a better dynamic. Ah, well. Guess she would have looked funny in a skin-tight latex dress, so that was a no-go.

It's not that. It's something else. Something about her body and posture turns me off, instead of on.

AHA
Also, if not romanced, she should romance a PSP.

why would you insult Ashley like that? why?!
And honestly I wouldn't care if BioWare designed a character modeled after Danica McKellar, Michelle Trachtenberg, Jessica Boehrs, or Alyson Hannigan and made her wear nothing but Jack's suspenders. If she was deadly with a gun or biotics and wasn't trying to kill me I'd be like 'whatever' and wouldn't accuse BioWare of fanservice

many worse people they could have picked, agreed, at least when they nab somebody like her, it's not just a job for her...she seemed pretty invested in the series....probably going to give it a good effort....
