Try this option for renaming:



place the downloaded file into a folder. Right click the folder and select "folder options". Under the "View" tab, a series of check boxes will be shown. You want to uncheck the box which pertains to hidden extensions (not sure of the correct text as I'm typing this on a Mac). Click apply and OK. You can now rename the file with the proper extension.

I think this fix works best for those starting up new games. Otherwise, I think the only thing it does is overwrite the old files, with enough changes in them to disrupt the old data that is saved in our saved games. The optimal fix is for Bioware to replace the Blood Dragon armor we download through the DLC server with the updated version, rather than requiring us to apply manual fixes. Of course, if there is no ability to update DLC ... well, that's a problem, isn't it? Particularly on Bioware's part, because that would be a major problem to overlook. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Those who still have the problem, did you try load the save file while not log-in? I did that just once and the problem solve and never occur again. Later you can login and load save files with no problem.

Still a little wary about it though, like it may just randomly disappear on me.

I closed the game and opened it back up again:

It's still there on my Warrior's buddy, Oghren.

It's still there on my Mage. Huh.



I didn't do anything, either. I was just testing new games seeing if there was some other way to get through the City Elf origin (there's all this Rat Poison and Brandy, but I couldn't find any way to use them? )



After that, I got on one of my main saves and the armor is there again. And the texture is correct.

Well it seems i got a rare issue on my hands. the patch seems to have worked but now my blood dragon armor is all shiney...


EDIT: After some reloading, I found that my previous saves were fixed. Only the current save had my Armor all really shiney. Previous saves were normal. Works fine other than that thanks.

Supposedly the memory band does work, it just doesn't have green text showing that it works. If you examine it, the text says the bonus is there.

Still no official word from anyone at BioWare as to why the Blood Dragon Armor vanishes from your inventory after installing this fix? It certainly has nothing to do with the game's CD Key not being in the registry. Quite frankly, we, the players who have this problem, should not have to spend time loading and reloading save games in the hopes that the armor may reappear! Despite several reports from players who have experienced this problem, the only response from BioWare is that it might be caused by the game's CD Key missing from the registry, and despite reports since then stating that isn't the cause, there's been no further word from anyone at BioWare in regards to this!

So, BioWare, why is this happening and when are you going to fix your fix?

Did you try my fix?

No I didn't, when I went to play earlier I checked the Downloadable Content tab and Blood Dragon Armor was listed under Download Progress. Once I clicked the download button it moved over to Installed Content. When I thne highlighted over Blood Dragon Armor under the Installed Content it showed a release date of 18/11/2009, which is the release date for the v1.1 fix (v1.0 has a release date of 03/11/2009). But when I loaded one of my female elf characters to check the armor, the texture was still missing. I exited the game and checked the AddIns.xml file in My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\Settings and that showed Blood Dragon Armor as v1.1 even though the texture for elf females was still missing!

So, I decided that because I used the first part of VariableEntity's fix to restore v1 I'd try the rest of his fix to copy over the contents of the v1.1 .dazip. That seems to have done the trick, the Blood Dragon Armor textures now show on my elf females so it seems to be working fine, although I intend to keep checking it for the next day or so!

I've got no idea what, exactly, the game re-downloaded for Blood Dragon Armor, it seems as if it just updated the AddIns.xml and missed out all the other files!

I only experienced this once - could have been after patching. Sorry.

WHY is the 360 version still bugged. The warden commander armor is still *plain* and the templar armor is on backwards for female elf's. They do patches for PC but when are they going to throw a fix for the consoles? Feels like they don't care about the consoles buyers and getting me close to just selling this game back. Too many bugs and no fixes/respect for us console players.

I have deleted the patch and redownloaded it and still had the same problem. I started over and still had the same result thinking they fixed it. I was wrong.

I got that when I use mobile phone  for internet connection while gaming on my laptop off-home.

Sorry for being late, I fell asleep to calm down lol but anyway
The armor doesn't have any design to it unlike when sophie had it.

The first pic is what it looks like on an female elf and the what the templar armor looks when being wore as well for the 360 console. First, when the armor set wouldn't work when being wore I let that slide alittle but when the armor look doesn't work for two races..that takes the cake.

I have a problem i just installed this file and now my dwarf warrior still has the armour on but it is now all white and shale is all white and I am at the wardens keep and the little balls of light that used to move around are now green squares? please help!
