Does Merill 'cap out' as a blood mage?

I gave her the  'Blood Of The First' ability,  'Ring Of Transitional Power',  'The Inner Eye ring', and the 'Cold Blooded Staff'. All these items are health > mana +0.25, or because there are four blood items equipoed, 1 to 1. She has 226 mana. Her health though is 322.

Yet now when I level her up and put any attribute in health, she remains at 226 mana. Am I missing something here?? Shouldn't she be at 322+?

I'm not quite sure what you mean. When you put a point in consitution you get more health, in willpower and you get more mana. Blood mages should not put any points in willpower.

The blood magic boosting items/abilities decrease the casting cost of spells in terms of lost health. Merril's blood of the first ability gives her a 2-to-1 ratio. With four items it becomes a 3-to-1 ratio. For example, say you have the (above mentioned) health-to-mana conversion rate of one health equals three mana. Now if you cast a spell with a cost of 21 mana, it would only cost 7 health. Effectively you get a discount on the casting cost.

The equivalent amount of mana isn't shown.
But basically, at 322 health she will have the equivalent of 966 mana while using bloodmagic (as each health point is worth 3 mana). However she probably should stop before then to avoid killing herself.
