Consequences in ME3, N7: Lost Operative

1. Who did you send it to? (Cerberus, Alliance, EDI for yourself)
2. What impact do you think this could have in ME3 depending on your choice?
I always keep it for myself, and I think that it might give us a one-up on Cerberus in ME3. Maybe it contains valuable info about them.
Plus, ME3 is about a year after ME2, so it's bound to be un-encrypted by then.

I was wondering where that story arc would go, as I always found that little sub-plot to be highly mysterious. We don't know what the data actually is, but it must be damn important to Cerberus, especially since the operative who was captured and tortured for the duration of his interrogation actually died rather than give up the encryption codes.
According to the merc logs, the data proved Cerberus' experiments with Rachni.

Maybe there'll be a brief mention of it in ME3? Unlikely I think.

it's only a N7 mission so i doubt it would have a huge impact
I would disagree with you, but does anybody else remember Armistan Banes?
But I saved the info for myself on my main playthrough.

Probably used as a small piece of evidence as to your loyalty. It might rate a small mention, but I doubt it's going to be big.
This sounds accurate.
I wonder if originally through ME2 they toyed with the idea of being associated with Alliance or Cerberus and these kinds of things would end up having a bigger affect?
But I think it will be about as important as the information the Shadow Broker asks for in ME1.

Out of curiosity, what does the Alliance say? I always kept it or sent it to Cerberus... I couldn't send it to the Alliance without the feeling if being spied on.LegionMan wrote...
You get a nice email from the Alliance/Cerberus if you sent it to either of them.

Don't think it will have a huge impact though, maybe just an email.

Since consequences are not big in ME 1 or 2, it basically is the Alliance saying thank you, good luck, and that it will hamper Cerberus' image in the future.
From: Alliance Command
Commander:
We got the data you sent. If this went public, it could do some serious
damage to Cerberus' image. This intel will take years to decode, but
just having it is a huge win for the Alliance.
Well done, Shepard. Good luck on your mission.
