In the new Voice Cast Reveal trailer, we got a glimpse of the new default FemShep. I took the liberty of nabbing the 720p video, screenshotting it all over and mishmashing a collage in mspaint. Can imagine quite a few overlook these shots, so here you go.Need to see more pics however, those aren't really clear.

It's hard to judge with a bunch of low quality snapshots, but she looks kind of weird to me.
I agree with both of you.
She doesnt really look like her concept art and she does look a bit wierd to me. But it might be the low res pics. Lady Hawke didnt really look good on the pics before realease either and then I LOVED her. So, we´ll see.

Thank goodness I'm not the only one who sees it auburn instead of ginger. I think her current hair color was at one point to the right from former femShep's, maybe the one of Jedore.Biotic Sage wrote...

The face definitely has all the features of the concept art one (minus freckles), but they're just not formed the same way. After freezing the trailer at a point where the desk just misses Shep's head, here is what I saw:
-Eyebrows are exactly the same.
-Eyes are wider, thiner and more slanted with mascara exaggerating this.
-Nose seems longer are more pointed, thin.
-Lips more or less the same.
-Cheekbones are much more prominent.
-Jawbone (hardest to judge) seems off and less defined. It slants downward in a more triangular fashion, rather than the defined/rounded jawbone that was universal between all Femshep choices pretty much.
-Edit: Face texture is simplistic and doesn't have any of the detail show in concept.
The result, if it is the new Femshep, is one that doesn't look like the concept art nor is as cool or realistic. That's not good since Sheploo on the box is identical to Sheploo ingame. It also defeats the point of all that drama a couple months ago about voting, since nothing really was transfered from concept to ingame save for the general hairstyle and hair colour. I would be disappointed if that was the case, but it would definitely be too late to come up with a new mesh. One thing that gives me hope is that the face doesn't look high resolution compared to the others NPCS/Sheploo and is missing freckles etc. So if it's not the real High-Res Femshep, this is VERY good news for people using custom face generation.
Either way Bioware isn't going to comment until the Femshep Trailer, because if it isn't default than at least it keeps us occupied and distracted from posting "Where's Femshep Trailer?" threads. If it is, it won't be as much of a shock to people when they find out Femshep is "Different" than what they expected because they couldn't quite get the face right ingame.

She really does look great and Bioware seem to have taken to heart some of our biggest concerns. Lighting and textures are improved. Hair no longer looks plastic. Her animations seem fluid. Those two seconds have told us a lot already and its really has whet my appetite for her full trailer. I cant wait!!

As I suspected and that's just awsome. If custom Femshep is now on par with Dragon Age II faces, then I can only imagine what default femshep looks like.
Even if the default femshep doesn't turn out great we have cool custom faces now!
EDIT:

Sorry to burst your bubble but the article is wrong about the brunette/blue eyesRead the first paragraph they updated:
"UPDATE: Bioware Edmonton’s Community Manager, Jessica Merizan has gotten in touch regarding this matter. “There
are two options on the character creation screen “Default” and
“Custom”. I believe that the brunette Shepard you are describing is one
of several “custom” options that you can then edit. The “Default”
Shepard is the redhead you see in the trailer. She is not customizable
(similar to Dragon Age II or how the male Shepard option has been in the
past).”
The red head in the video is the official default Femshep
Bummer and bubble bursted. I saw the update but only read the first sentence since I was in a hurry and thought they just made a mistake calling the redhead a brunette. Well we will have to see what she truly looks like in the trailer I guess.

Male shep on the box art looks pretty different. The main thing I see different so far is the hair and even then I wasn't expecting the hair to be exactly like the art we were shown. We never seen the hair from the back anyway until now so I can't even say it is so much different. Biwoare may have simply wanted to change it a bit.

Dont you understand, the redhead teenshep is just a 10 year old portrait from when she started her N7 training !
(the omni-blade is superimposed btw)

Ahhhh I get it now. She also had cosmetic surgery and removed those freckles too. As for the Omni-Blade I think it was one of those nerf training prototype ones at the time...
On a more serious note I really hope a good look at the default Femshep is close to the concept art or there will be another rage storm the more I think about it. If she ends up looking different then it begs the question "Why did we have not one poll, but two drama filled polls and ended up with something different anyways?"
Basically if they couldn't get the Mesh to look right and/or decided on changes, they maybe should have had their minds made up or had various face meshes ready to go before polling. If this is about all the drama surrounding both polls and taking in to account complaints (and thereby changing the face as time went on) then fans should have been told that was going to be the case before now. Either way though I do like the new face so far, but it looks like it could have been better and more on par with Sheploo quality.
Going to hold final judgement until I see it in the Femshep trailer or the Demo/Main Game.

That seems pretty close to me. But I admit that we had bad angles with femshep and i don't judge her until the demo as well.

The art looks more detailed and the beard that we have been seeing on Shepard recently is much fuller. The eyes also looks smaller than the shep from the vids. There are some differences and the art doesn't look exactly like in game Shep. Fem Shep art won't look exactly like in game shepard either. You will have expect some differences in game.

True but it seems there are quite a lot of differences between concept and ingame femshep. I realise she isn't based on a real person and they have to take into account the rest of her mesh from all sides though. There just seems to be features that are different than concept (textures, eye shape, nose shape and possibly lips, jaw and cheekbones). Then again we only have one still of her face from the front and that's a millisecond capture when Shep is ducking a huge metal table flying over her. For all we now when Femshep is not so animated she actually looks exactly like the one in concept art, but I won't hold my breath hehe.
