Is this only happening for me or everyone else ? I bought the Dragon Age Origins Ultimate yeterday , installed everything and all , but how come i requires CD to play the game ? ?

I mean its Original yet still its this troublesome ?

I seldom buy PC games i did bought a few , they were the SIms , but i thought only Sims will be this troublesome, i didn't this apply for all other games too :?

If you installed the game from DVD, then yes, it requires the DVD in the drive to play. The game only makes a check to see if the disc is present; the entire game itself runs off the files installed on the hard drive.

As i mentioned i dont buy many games , does all original games r like this = =" ?

Its so troublesome....well except SC 2 , because in SC 2 (i tried in my friend's house) , u actually have to have internet connection even if u want to play offline , u have to login to the game ea time u want to play , it is better that way

In that case i bet DA 2 will too requires cd then ?

No, with DA2, you can play without the disc in the drive. However, since you have bought the game the game on disc, you can download the game (legally) via the EA downloader, now called EA Origin. You'll need the key that's on the back of your manual to get this going.

The best way to play a game without the disc in the drive is to buy a digital version of the game, from Steam, Direct 2 Drive, Gamer's Gate, or EA Origin.

Yes i know of EA Origin , i bought my Sims as DVD then i downloaded it from there on to my com , so i wont have to use disc to play anymore like u said , but Sims was small (The Sims Medieval to be specific) only total like 6 GB ?

but this DA Ultimate Edition its like 24 GB lol and also im not from US , my internet speed is freaking slow ! Even now its like 1 of the fastest internet i using here , my normal DL speed be around only 400 - 600 KBPS , i DL Sims via Origin is faster but only 1 MB , so to DL DA , will take a long time lol , i guess i will use the disc then

But if somehow in future my disc is damage / maybe lost , m i able to get a replace copy from EA ? I dont mean like buy another copy if u get what i mean , or all i can do now is DL it from Origin from then on

Is there any other way to view the game key than on the back of the manual? I already have the game registered online but I can not find the manual to give me the game key so I can play it. :(

Uh i dont really get what your saying , wait is it that

U lost your manual
U registered your game online
U want to know is there a way to view your CD key so u can play the game ?

If so , go online to your EA acc , u should able to see your CD key in your profile or something or if u have downloaded and installed Origin , there in your game library will show u own the game , so at there there's an " i " icon thing , showing your game info also your CD key, hope this works
