Vibrant... actually the two blades are not necessarily the best solution. One blade and one club would enable both slashing and bludgeoning damage which is a rare combination.

*frowns* *looks side-long* *grins*
I like it :)

Ok, Roly poly, I'm doing the Tessen for OAv1
I'm doing Shinobi-zue for OAv2
  • "Standard" single hidden blade (staff transforms into ninjato)
  • "Pen's Shinobi-zue" two blades (staff transforms into twin ninjato)
  • "Hen's Teeth" blade/stick combo (staff transforms into ninjato and club)
@ Big Purple: I wanted the shield AC for the Tessen, not the Shinobi-zue. And now I can =]

I love this place!

But...

Gotta run! *twinkles fingers at everyone*

Since the yuanti are probably not oriental in nature then they would probably not be appropriate for release in this current challenge, but I was going to release them in a hak pack called OTTP which will add a bunch of the creatures never released in Neverwinter Nigts Enhanced 2 adding onto the already large amount in Project Q.

Jenna provided a link to the Monstrous Compendium for Kara-Tur in which there are also Yuan-ti.

Welcome to the Kara-Tur Appendix to the Monstrous Compendium
series. This volume describes the wondrous Oriental creatures
native to the eastern region of the Forgotten Realms.

So they are oriental creatures and appropriate for the current challenge.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have finished one of each of the tiles needed for the city walls/ city terrain. There are no variations for any of the tiles yet, so it all looks a bit boring:

Are you sure you're not a fimble, Pen?

What Z said, C! Submit it :-)

Cool walls, Z :-)

Um, had no idea what a fimble was so I googled. Now I'm goggling @_@

fimble n
The male plant of hemp, which matures before the female plant.
(C15: from Middle Dutch femeel, from Old French chanvre femelle female hemp, from chanvre hemp + femelle female)

Heh, what are you smokin', Z?

"Yuan-ti" are based off mythological Naga, which weren't just human headed snakes in mythology. Quite frequently they had that snake lower body thing that Yuan Ti abominations rock. Other times they're just giant snakes, sometimes with multiple heads. There's at least one they used to churn a sea of milk, and another 8 headed one who someone decided to just about stomp to death before his wives pleaded for his life

Also, Naga fight Garuda, a giant eagle man who is immortal and enjoys the lovely task of ruining their cities and killing them

However, the human style Yuan-Ti are a DnD original

Funny. All this time I did not realize that those hindu images were of Nagas. I had always thought Naga just meant snake and did not refer to these hybrid creatures.

You learn something new every day.

However... the term Yuan Ti is unique to D&D as far as I know - and as I said according to the Wizards of Seattle.

Now that we have eatablished some form of snake creature was probably present in just about all mythos a yes or no wether I should include these in this particular challenge would be greatly appreciated, because I'm easlily confused, that simple one track mind ya know.

Do it!

-- I'm enjoying your Siamese Cats by the way. Very nice. One with collar, one without. Lots of potential as a familiar. Perhaps can be given a magic item....

Anyway. Thanks!

Very Kind words Henesua but the credit for Siamese Cats must go to Ziroc as he was the original author. I have only been playing around to try improve his model. I believe he originally model it after his pet cat.

The Yuanti are  posted on my project page for download if any one wants advanced copies. Rolo Kipp you can grab them from there as well. Remeber they overwrite the bioware standard Yuanti.

Stick a second tail on it, get an instant Nekomata/Bakeneko/Kasha/Whatever mythological cat creature is around that area

Cause, y'know, giant corpse stealing cats that take the shape of their former owners and hide said owners corpse under the floor of their bedroom

She's not done yet, by a long road, but she's shapin' up nicely.

Personal request to Lord Shemsu-heru, could you be makin' an nice Oni Head like thet there first picture above?
I'd be really appreciatin' it.

Yes! Bundle them up, add them to appearance.2da (lines starting at 910) and email them to me (nwncccmakers@gmail.com).

You'll be the first complete submission, as I'm waiting on 2DAs for a couple others... ;-)

That looks very cool, Cestus. How will the Oni form work? Is it a tail model that you attach to another model? Or is the screenshot of a complete model - the human and the firegiant together?

'Tis both in one, though I'll mayhap be removin' the "spirit" below the waist, makin' the chest not render and linkin' the forearms directly to the solid form. This'll bring it closer to thet pic.

Still, it give me ideas fer a "Demon-possessed" visual effect and mayhap a "Demon-shadow" visual as well (no rendered geometry, but the effect casts a large demon-shaped shadow). Ideas...

But thet's fer another time, me thinks.

I do hope Lord Shemsu-heru will come through with thet Oni head, though... fierce face and bushy white dangly-mesh hair, aye?

Thet be the stuff!

I'm feel praised.
But I'm not sure it's seems a little complicate, my modeling skills are limited; I Could try, but more photos of the head, in different positions, especially a from view will help...

Where do you wish that I'll sent you the model? But I can promise nothing...

Oh, you can just email them to me at nwncccmakers@gmail.com.
Actually, just give us permission to use your JE Death's Hand helmet and the dwarf can do the rest. He's far too lazy <and drinking far too much of the good stuff>
Right. Gotta give him *something* to do...

Unless you want to give it a go :-)

'Tis allus rewardin' ta make somethin' yer own self, I allus say. Ye might start with tha head of c_ogre35... 'tis pretty close, 'cept fer colorin'. Mebbe scaled down a smidge, say to 90%.

Ignore tha old man, he's jest antsy. Ye make somethin' an' I'll use it.

Gettin' closer ta the concept pic:

Heh, now he's pushin' me outta tha way. Wants *his* laptop, he says. *harumph!*

<rubbing his hands...>

If grumpy can get this working as an effect, it would be fantastic as an onEquip/Unequip effect for Gauntlet's of Ogre power, Belt of Fire Giant strength... etc

Edit: Or even a tail. That would work fine, since it's unlikely he'll make versions for creatures with tails. Every race/gender has to be individually adjusted (except half-elf) so the hands are in the right position.
Note: Made the oni_head the active head node. Quite eerie to have the spirit half watching you and following your movement while the meat half stares into the distance ;-) Might keep that, might not.

Edit 2: Since the dwarf has been exiled from the machine until Friday, here's a look at c_ogre35 (found in the 1.69 patch). It would make a good start on modeling an oni head, we think :-)
Posted Image

Needs horns, white hair, etc. I also think it's worthwhile to change the hair from skinmesh to dangly mesh.

<...in anticipation>

Cestus Dei your head is ready and i just have finished to sent it to Rolo Kipp, I hope it will please you, you can see how it looks like in my album.
I have made also a dynamic version for Half-Orcs if you don't care...

I'm sorry but I have to say that I hope that this don't become in a custom. Because if i have to make models for everybody I'll be overloaded soon...

That's all
