Demo will be available to all on 14th of February. The Multiplayer part will only be available for those qualifing for early access on the 14th all other will be able to join on the 17th.
On the 7th we will get infos about the demo and about how you can qualify for early access besides having purchased BF3.

There seems to be some misunderstanding here, so I'm trying to clear this up.

Is Microsoft giving players full Xbox Live Gold benefits during the demo period - including access to Netflix, ESPN, Hulu Plus and more?

No - to clarify, Microsoft is removing membership restrictions from the ME3 demo. Normally if a player does not have XBox Live Gold, they would not be able to download the demo until a week after it is released, and would not have access to the multiplayer features of the demo. In this case, all players will be able to download the demo when it releases and all players will be able to play multiplayer in the demo regardless of Xbox Live membership level starting February 14 (for early access participants) or February 17 (all other players). There are no special steps required to obtain these benefits, it will be seamless for all players. To check out all the benefits of Xbox LIVE Gold membership, try the free Gold weekend February 3rd through 5th.

Well huh, that's pretty cool and a smart decision to boot. Considering the murky water multiplayer is still treading in among fans it could go along way to prove fans it was worth it. Assuming of course it is.

Does anyone know if the demo is definetly going to come out on UK/Europe PSN on the 14th along with other platforms/countries?

Because with the KoR demo we (Europe, for me the UK specifically) got it later, possibly even the day after, and at no point was that made clear before hand which was annoying to put it mildly. Just want to know if that's going to happen with the ME3 demo?

That's pretty spiffy of Microsoft to do that. Is this a timed thing? Like it's only good from when the demo launches to when the game launches kind of thing?

Unrelated topic: Any word yet on getting ME3 Avatar stuff for the 360? The CE has the Normandy prop but I want to see if there's other stuff.

Doesn't affect me either way, as I have a gold account, but I'm happy for my friend and all others that do not have one.

This is a very classy move by Microsoft. I am delighted to see that they give special treatment to Mass Effect fans. They should, Mass Effect was their baby for a time.

Who is saying you need to pay fifty bucks?

Was thinking the exact same thing. I have some Loyalty thing and most months only get charged a buck, some only 4.99 for gold, I pay less for gold then I did for a free MMO.  Just saying.  I don't give two cents about MP, but gold is pretty cheap, maybe I just forgot the cost of what it used to be, or maybe I am miss reading.

Either way, it's good news :)

No, your account does not give you gold. The ME3 Demo simply has no restrictions, meaning you will not be promoted to gold, but you will still be able to play.

The 14th is close. I just hope my x box live works. People that have fios in some areas of California have not been able to log in to x box live since Friday night. That would really suck if it happened on the 14th. Here's to hoping that it will not! :)

He literally says that a Gold Account will be required in the first line. So the demo clearly isn't without restriction.
The demo comes with a limited Gold membership, meaning that your account should be upgraded to Gold for a limited time upon downloading the demo.

that this is in fact not the case. The demo is simply free of restrictions. So you can download it immediately and play the multiplayer on the 14th (early access) or the 17th without the need for being a gold member. You will not be able to access other gold membership privileges such as multiplayer of other games, netflix, twitter, hulu or facebook (who needs it anyway )
