After watching the cast reveal I;m pretty happy with how the interior of the Normandy looks. I felt the Cerberus "bright is right" lighting scheme terrible unimmersive. ME1's Normandy was dark, very SCI-FI, and it looks like ME3 is reverting back to that, at least in the cockpit with Joker, and I'm stoked.

Agreed; the lighting in the SR2 gave my Shepard a migraine. :P

However the Normandy is not complete in my eyes until this feature  is included in the final product (or at least as an option for Shepard's apartment stereo).

I agree, though I did like the Cerberus interior as well... it's nice to go back to ME1's "stealthy submarine" feel. I can't wait to see the rest of what the Alliance did to the ship.

I thought the Normandy cockpit itself looked similar to ME2.

I honestly didn't understand how everyone in the cargo hold in ME1 wasn't tripping over **** because it was so damn dark. A middle ground between ME1 and ME2 would be optimal.

The lighting on the character creator better be damned good, and I'm actually glad the Normandy's actually silent in ME2. Xylophone too ****ing irritating.

I didn't much like ME2's look either. I don't know why so many video game designers love bloom effects.

I'm digging what I've seen so far of the Normandy.

It looks like the Normandy revamp is a cross between ME1 and ME2. I liked both so I think the combination is not only cool, but a natural direction for the design to take.

Must come with fish. And model ships. Then the Normandy will be complete, Alliance vessel or not! ^_^

I prefer ME 2's fancy ship design better. I think it suits ME's theme of sleek, shiny, and idealistic. And is it too much to ask for a color pallet wider than blue with touches or grey?

I liked the shiney Normandy. I liked the exterior of the new Normandy though! Blue is way better than orange! >:D

Since blue is my favourite color, i really liked the new normandy's both interior and exterior. But then again its Normandy any color would do.

The Normandy's interior in 1 had a bit of a Star Trek feel to it; very gloomy and dark with the blue lighting. I guess that appeals to the oldschool sci-fi fans, but I never really liked it. The Normandy crew has to spend long periods of time aboard the ship and the ME1 Normandy just didn't feel like somewhere you'd want to live. They really improved on that in ME2. The Normandy SR2 wasn't as dark and had warm orange lighting. They also actually designed sleeping quarters and a mess hall this time around. So I definetly liked the Normandy better in ME2. But from a story standpoint I guess it makes sense they changed it back since it's now in the hands of the Alliance, who aren't as concerned with the fact people actually have to live there.

One of the other threads is showing concept art of the interior found on a german website. It looks like there's going to be a 'war room' different from the 'conference room', and that looks pretty cool. But really, I'm just excited that they said there would be an automatic fish feeder somewhere in the galaxy.

Well, the entire game seems to be a mix of ME1 & ME2 so we should be happy, hopefully, they will take the best of both games in every aspect, while leaving the bad out :D

Meaning TOS, right?  The TNG ship was pretty damn bright.

maybe she's just out of the image (it cuts off) but doesn't look like Kelly is back on the Normandy this time. Shame. I liked that girl.

The red glow is actually the most amazing part for me. Heh, different strokes.
