DanaDuchy likes to post cutscenes and other content that's been cut from the game. I suspect that's the case here.

Looks like it was supposed to happen if a mage Hawke supported Meredith. Not bad, but as i like Cullen's "coup" against her, i guess i'm lucky they changed it.

Ugh. I omniloathe Cullen's coup. You don't get to change sides and look like a hero after the genocide. Day late and a dollar short, zealot. I wish there was an option to tell him he might as well fight by Meredith's side, because he's next after I get through with her.

Oh that? That's just an average Sunday dinner at Meredeth's house. They drink a LOT of coffee afterwards.

I kind of like that ending better. If they fixed the camera and took off the cheesy laugh, they could have put that in the game. Don't know why they'd cut that.

Clearly, it made too much sense. And nothing in Act III is allowed to make sense.

Nice find!
This cut ending isn't so bad, its really climatic in my opinion since Hawke appears to be alone confronting Meredith and they are having their little conversation.
That said I think Meredith seems a bit too crazy/stupid here and I like the proper ending where Cullen gets screen time. Also Meredith walking down the stairs looks kind of weird and undone...but that could just be me.
