So long, and thanks for all the fish!
Due to circumstances beyond my control, today is my last day managing the Neverwinter Vault. The years I have spent with all of you have been incredible. The friendships and camaraderie will be something I will always cherish. There is no better group of fans, creators, and innovators in gaming. I wish you all the best, and offer a heartfelt thanks for allowing me to be a part of it.
Maximus will be looking after the Vault after today. You may see me pitching in to assist him from time to time.

I just saw that too. BTP did a great job with the daily news updates.

That is truly sad to hear. i hope things are ok and nothing seriously bad has happened. I for one really do appreciate all the work Beyond The Pale and Maximus both have done to keep the vault going as long as they have. Hopefully everything works out and the vault continues to go strong for another ten years.

That's too bad, I hope everything goes well for him. The few times I've needed to contact him he was very helpful in getting my issues resolved.

I only had a chance to interact once with BeyondThePale. But he answered my newbish vault question and dealt with the issue quickly. That dedication is no doubt a big part of why the Vault is such a huge benefit to NWN enthusiasts and has been so for such a long time.
I hope he is well and remains active in this community in any capacity that works for him.

I hope nwvault will live. This and latest issues with many members couldn't logged in, long time where vault wasn't updated in the time of server transfer, less and less peoples voting and commenting, more and more spam and trolls... nwvault definitely isn't what it used to be

I hope all is well too with BtP. As for the Vault living - as long it still draw a reasonable amount of traffic - and thus money from advertising - I can't see ign getting rid of it, but I do agree that she ain't what she used to be...

I praIse the vault a great deal without (them? it?) a lot of great mods would never have been enjoyed.

From the looks of it, The Vault has not been updated in a few days. Hopefully this inspires a few people to submit new stuff to wake it back up.

I wanted to submit a simple thing but I forgot login password...it says it emailed me a new one but I have no emails.

I'm sure it will be fine. Maximus is more than capable of running things.
Knight... First make sure you're checking the right account, and check your spam folder. If you still don't see anything send Maximus an email he may be able to help you out. He can't access passwords, but he may be able to reset them manually and he can certainly find out which email address the random passwords are being sent to.
Anyway...
I hope we can all take a moment to wish BTP the best and thank him for all his help over the years!

I'm pretty new to these forums and have a question..I've submittted my first module to the vault. Do I need to send an e-mail or is there a weekly maintenance that new submissions get added to? I just read about the site manager leaving. Sounds like he did a really great job and that you all really liked the job he did.

He is a great man, even now taht he left. He did well. We had fun, and that fun is not over yet.
Thanks to you, Beyondthepale, and to Maximus as well.
Enjoy anything coming your new way of life.
You've always been masters at handling fun after all...
[EDIT]
I wish I could have left a message at Urk's IGN link above...
only to register there doesn't seem to be possible for a simple human being with only one brain such as myself.

Knight and Urk: Last I knew, the web mail form doesn't actually work, so you won't get a password reset from it. I had to email BTP directly to get my access back. Now I guess you need to email Maximus.

Instead of opening another topic, maybe I can bump this and throw in a link that is somewhat related to the recent Vault news: http://social.biowar...1/index/9638982
Just an idea that came up, maybe some of you have an opinion on the matter.

No longer just an idea! Robin Scott setup a fully functional Neverwinter Nexus for NWN1 and 2. It hasen't official launched yet, but modders can upload content.
While the vault has served us well IGN has already annouced that while they will continue hosting, they will no longer be servicing or updating the vault. Robin managed to get this up in 3 days, can you image is what got that type of commit from IGN. Nexus is current the largest hub for custom RPG mods, which gives a lot more exposure to new releases. Hope to see you all there.

The Vault was updated on the 9th of March, that's pretty current.
