I am getting an error when trying to start Mass Effect 2 "Fatal Error. Random CRC does not match". Does anyone know how to fix this?

Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks

It is a checksum error, basically saying your data as received doesn't match the values on sending or compression. More info would be a help, as well as registering your game so everyone knows you purchased it, and that we aren't wasting our time trying to help a person who hacked the game and thus probably has issues from that rather than from a normal game issue. See the sticky on how to post to give us the info we need.

I have registered my game for proof of purchase. My pc should run Mass Effect 2, my specs are higher then the minimum requirements. This error has occured on a digital copy i downloaded from Origin because when i tried to run it from the retail disc i got the error "ME2 CDKey Check Failed to authenticate the disc. Please insert the correct disc and try again." I have looked at a post about others having the disc authentication issue and theres no fix of yet. So i then downloaded the digital version and got the CRC does not match error.

Very interestingly, a majority of the time that anyone writing here feels it necessary to write that, without actually completing a proper problem report, they are usually wrong.  (Meanwhile, the specs may not be pertinent to the symptoms described.)

Are you on a Wired or Wireless network at your home?? If wireless then plug up with a wire.
What AV are you using, and can you disable it during dl of the game?
From the info I found, this is a data loss or corruption during download, so I would do everything I could to limit interference and re-download it again from Origin.
