This thread is for discussion of the new character Lieutenant Steve Cortez and his role in ME3. 

Steve's voice actor is 
Matthew del ******, who is possibly most notable for his work on the TV show United States of Tara.

Steve is the Normandy SR-2's shuttle pilot and quartermaster, flying the Kodiak on missions with the squad and arranging for parts, weapons and supplies to be delivered to the ship. Cortez can sell items and gear to the squad through Alliance requisition channels.

Lieutenant Cortez is also a romance option for male Shepards. 

This thread is NOT for discussions of same-sex romances in ME3 generally, nor about the number or identity of LIs available to any particular Shepard. Please take this to the other thread.

I support Cortez. Hopefully he is a good character and he looks pretty good from the side profile pic. I'm curious to see how the general fan-base will respond to an openly gay character being on their crew!

That can't be as bad as the Consort ninja sex, but I just can't help but laugh just imagining that kind of ninjamance between Steve and Dudeshep

From what I've seen even during the *SPOILERS* "date scene" you can still tell him you're *SPOILERS* only interested in women so I'm pretty sure it'll be pretty easy.

Almost same here - I thought "ME3 cast part 2" was released.

Oh well. I like Steve anyway. It's tricky to discuss anything about him now without touching spoilers... oh well, that emblem on earpiece reminds me of Sony Ericsson emblem.

But they missed the mark with this guy. The ****** gamers don't want Steve. They're aiming for Kaidan's rectum.

I'm hoping not for much longer.

At the very latest, the demo will show Cortez in his shuttle pilot role, and it's only a few days until we get some more information about that.
