I don't plan on doing the romance path, but Cortez was an incredibly well written character, and I would probably vote him the second best non-squad NPC in the whole series (with Kal'Reegar coming first) And his romance didn't feel tacked on or forced, like the Kaidan bi-sexual thing. A genuine, unique character, who deserves to have a 'Sassy Gay Friend' comic written about him

Loving the sigs, totally snagging one.

I had high hopes for Steve when I looked at the leaked script and he definitely did not disappoint. Loved his romance and character. I was definitely pleasantly surprised at how important he was during certain missions. As stated by some other users, despite him not being a squadmate he sure did feel it.

Finally got to the Purgatory scene on my new main! I've been painstakingly slow because I've been making sure to do every single quest(Except for the bugged Hanar Diplomat one. *Shakes fist*).

The solution to do Hanar quests is to finish scanning all terminals without leving Citadel, but saving & reloading (in the same place) if the terminals bug at you. At least that's how it finally worked for me in second playthrough, in first I left the Citadel and couldn't do anything to finish the quest anymore

Yeah, I found out a little too late. I would have had to load a save about 2 hours back to be able to fix it. So I just left it alone. Already past the Tuchanka bomb mission, so it's long gone. At least I know for next time. Thanks, Isaac. ^^

Really? I get a lot of crap about my Shep looking silly because he has dark skin(actually the same tone as Cortez's) and blonde hair. Not to mention the green eyes. My Shep's more or less what I wish I looked like. I'm surprised, but I'm glad you like him! :3

Though, some of those shots were terrible angles for my Shep even though they were nice ones for Cortez. There are some better ones in my album if you want to take a gander. ^^

Now I just have to keep the enthusiasm up, conclude the romance, and beat the game once and for all so I can finally see them for myself. I made progress today, just gotta' keep it going!

It ain't like in future people don't dye their hair lol right? I just think his overall look is great and it's rare that blonde hair look good on CustomSheps in ME engine, let alone on Sheps with dark skin so kudos

Good point. Thanks, all the same. ^^;

I'm still anticipating your upcoming siggy/gif stuff too, you know! I'll be working up to the romance scene in the meantime so your stuff doesn't spoil it for me when you release it.

Kaidan wasn't forced, he was bisexual from the beginning. They just had to take it out so they wouldn't scare off the Halotards.

I thought he was a great addition to the Normandy crew. It's nice to see NPCs other than actual squad mates have a place and have roles. I don't know about his romance, but the subplot where Shepard helps him cope with his loss added more to the bleak atmosphere the War has brought.

Yes, he was so much more than I thought. I expected a bit upgraded male-Kelly and instead, he basically recieved a squadmate treatement. Love how much conversations there is with Steve, his story, romance and how much romance chatter he has between the main scenes <3 Don't know about other romances since my Sheps are all gay, but Kaidan only has a few romance lines between the date and sex scene which really leaves quite a huge gap in the relationship. Steve has much more, loved when he asked if I want help with the "report" again tonight xD

Waaaait. You mean you're a fan of custom sheps? I personally can't stand the way defaultShep looks, so I was curious as to how that might work in terms of submission to the blog! I'll PM you.

Also... In regards to Cortez and ME3 in general. I haven't played it in about 5 days; work and all that. So I fired up ME3 last night, ready to work on finishing up my play through. SOON as I load my save, my sister drops by with Tales of Graces F and drags me off to play. I don't think I'm ever going to see the conclusion to this romance, or this "controversial" ending I have yet to spoil entirely.

Hey guys: Is there any more romance dialogue/interaction with Steve after the dance at Purgatory? It may be bad timing on my part, but I haven't been able to talk to him in ages. Maybe it's because I'm progressing so lowly in the game... But the truth is that seeing the "Paramour" achievment unlock after the Purgatory scene made me feel a bit alarmed.

That's unfortunately how all romances work in ME3. After the date scene, the next main romance scene is the sex before final mission. However, Steve has alot of ambient romance lines on the Normandy, more than other characters. He comments on your looks, says he missed you, and tons of other sweet stuff <3 Just visit the Shuttle Bay after each mission to hear these lines

Oh, wait: so there IS a sex scene? I don't know why, subconsciously I had assumed there wouldn't be one for romances other than the big ones. Good to hear.

And yeah, some of the romantic lines are awesome. Shepard's line about "next time we can try under the bed if you want" caught me completely off guard, and I laughed my ass off.
