Yes, more time with LI's would be nice. Even if was just they walk in and sit on the couch and it fades to black, our imaginations can fill in the rest of the night.

But seriously, you couldn't have threesome in ME1. I'm guessing Kaidan would excuse himself from such an arrangement with migraines. M.

You do realize that whether he has a gay side to him (or is entirely gay or entirely straight) depends on how you, the player, chose to make your Shepard? Or is your brain incapable of grasping such simple concepts?Gulaman wrote...
Male Shep having a gay side to him is just wrong. He's not the Warden, not every hero needs to be bisexual. Male Shep was too macho for a gay fling with a camp dude like Steve.

Liara has this one too. There's not a single romance scene that's 100% unique. Ironically, I think only Miranda's scene apartement romance scene may have animations that ain't reused anywhere else.Youth4Ever wrote...
Hmmm. Just noticed Ashley and Steve have the same bed scene romance animation. Lazy, Bioware is lazy.

Yeah. . . James disappears completely after the coup as well. A smart ass like him could have had more banter in other areas of the Citadel.

Yeah I've said something similar somewhere else (probably the Kaidan thread). Don't know why they didn't include it. Maybe it could be part of a larger romance-related DLC. That LI appreciation thing was finished, I don't know if they sent it off to the BioWare peeps or not, but that should at least get them to consider such a DLC.

Well first of all: what Isaac said.
Second, BioWare beautifully added homosexuals that did not follow the stereotype you are presenting.
Third, there is no requirement for a gay man or lesbian woman to act a specific way to actually be gay, lesbian, or bi. Macho, sissy, strong, weak, whatever; gays and straights are the same and can act very identical to one another. The only difference is who they are attracted to. So maybe educate yourself and not let the media tell you that all gay men wear rainbows and have a lisp.

Many animations are recycled throughout the game. I think a lot of it has to do with the timeline BioWare was forced on. Animation, from what little I know, isn't a short process especially for something with as good graphics as ME3. If you saw the PAX interview I think it was, they mentioned the amount of things they had to animate and how many variations of a scene could play out. So I think if we give them time, patches will come out that address animation/graphic issues and maybe some DLC will expand the romantic (and non-romantic) animations we see. I still have some hope for BioWare, we'll see what comes out of that. . .

+1 - I know heteronormative men who behave gayer than the gay men I know. I know gay soldiers who have seen battle, I know straight men who work as home decorators. I also know girls that some would consider "Butch" that aren't lesbians, I also have a very attractive lesbian friend who gets hit on by guys almost all the time she feels guilty about turning them down. When I met her even I made a pass at her but when she turned me down, I didn't take it personally. Actually I thought it was funny how it happened, since then humor has been the basis of our friendship.

The skin texture for Liara was impressive but it really bothered me that everyone else wears clothes during and after sex and even while taking a shower.
Skin texturing is a real pain.Bioware got a bit lazy with that I think...I mean really, who here showers with their clothes on? I would also like to see more of the romance scenes - Perhaps if bioware is feeling even lazier they could do the old fogged up shower scene...though the particles, shaders and volumetrics would probably play merry hell with the framerate.

I wish there were more romance scenes too. Without giving too much of the game plot away there is a rather depressing moment on Illium in ME3. I thought Shep would be looking for at least a hug or more rigorous but tender affection, but at that point all Cortez can come up with is: "Get out of here…I like the view as you walk away"
Gee thanks Steve, next time you come to the cabin you can sleep on the couch.
I think part of the problem is that Bioware really does not know how to show a gay sex scene or even what to allude to in a sex scene. Missionary position is a given for hetero scenes but should Shepard of either gender be depicted having anal sex (or allude to it)? Male Shepard can still be "manly" by allowing a woman to ride him but I sense the game makers are scared to put female and gay male Shepard in certain positions that would take away from Shepard's Alpha position in the game.

I would prefer "fading to black" with some "hinting" sound effects over the underwear grinding myself (Anders in DA2 for example). From what I have seen of the Samantha shower scene it looked like they could have gotten away with just going with strategic camera angles but you still see the bra straps even when her breasts would not have been exposed.

Yeah, I understand time/resources and all that but let's be honest, they had time to make a unique nude model for Liara... So these resources ain't that equally divided. Definitely hoping for some more in DLC!Tiberis wrote...
