I agree, we should have the option of a happy ending...but more often than not that isn't all that realistic, I just want an ending where your in-game choices are reflected better.

*not to mention that I really like the piano part they have accompanying the Shepard/Steve romance scene towards the end - the lesbian scene doesn't get that treatment.

I think the same, that goatee drives me crazy.... But I have a soft spot for Kaidan's romance arc since it reminds me of mine with my ex (we were both "straight" best friends for years 'till we got together). I can't really choose between them really!! Though talking about romance as a whole, I think Cortez' is the best if just for the romance banter. Love it.

I usually don't do portraits (actually, haven't done any in about 12 years, and then it was on paper, with pencil), sooo... Yeah, I know it's not good, but still... It's Steve ! M.

It is not just a gay thing with Steve. Girls love him too even though we have to play a male Shepard for snugglebunnies.

Vega knows about Steve and his damsels. That he does.

The same goes with Sam. A party of chess (I would have liked to get drunk with her though), and an intelligent crewmember, a friend with whome Shep develops a friendship as them game progresses. Their respecive friendship arcs are quite well done in my opinion. M.

I heard about the shower scene and I was worried about Sam being the typical HAWT lesbian LI but Abispa assures me that she is handled better than that in her dialogues and parting scene. From what I have seen just about all the romances felt they need more... something. I loved my Korean Shepard and Garrus LI and felt that it was well developed but wished more was done for Kaidan and Steve. I enjoyed my female Kaidan romance much better than the gay one but she had the three game advantage.

I assumed the Liara romance must be EPIC since ALL of my Shepards seemed to dwell on her in their death scenes. Even though they were only mind raped by her at the very end.

Well Liara is... Ummm canon(ish) romance. I understand that... And in fact, i like her. In romance and as a friend to my Shep. But yes, Sam is a nice character in ME3, even with MShep. He can either "try something" (bad move) or be her friend, reassure her, tell her she's doing okay etc. I can see my Shep spending more R6R time with her then the game suggests. Shes's really a cool (and sexy) character. M.

Unfortunately I have had way too much time to play the game due to health reasons. Even without that reason I do tend to play my RPGs until my Xbox burns grooves into my discs with the laser.

I do not hate Liara as a character just the fact that she is forced to be your BFF or lover while other favorites including the chosen LI are shorted. If Shepard is going to reflect on loved ones before s/he dies I would have prefered the LI get the flashback instead of or in addition to Liara.

The more I play the game I find most of my hatred centering on EDI and by extension Joker. Even my Paragon Shepards snap at him now after Thesia and NEVER apologize. And do not get me started on the sythesis epilogue. Grrr.

What I would have liked would be for Vega to "threaten" Shepard not to break the heart of his bestemest bro. Maybe have Vega cleaning his shotgun in the airlock when they came back from their date at the club saying, "You are LATE! You know what time it is?"

You make it sound like there is a difference between how someone who's "Straight", "Bi" or "Gay" would view sex.  Some people get off on a domination kink, doesn't matter their sexual orientation.   I know many who are "straight" who have weird ideas about same-sex-sex and do assume there is one who's dominate and the other passive.  That *normally* couldn't be farther from the truth.

Yes it is far from the truth, some people break somplex interactions down and simplify them - and things get lost in the translation. I have heard straight guys and women ask me some strange questions about my relationships with men. Even that lesbian friend of mine who always gets hit on by guys didn't know that men liked to cuddle and kiss as much (and sometimes even more) than girls do. She just thought my boyfriend and I just skipped the foreplay and tore the clothes off eachother and went at it like animals (we did actually, but that's not the point - we still kissed and cuddled, I'm a person who responds strongly to tactile sensations).

Yep as I said above, I love the sensation of kissing a bearded man. My first partner and I were "straight" and we knew eachother at high school...until we started spending time together at university -that is when we started dating .Thankfully girls don't have an issue with my beard - I keep it short and tidy, the hairs are actually quite soft...so the girls and guys don't get pash rash, But I have gotten pash rash from other guys though....but I'll tell you it is totally worth it.

Lol It's been like two months or so, I haven't gone to work because of health reasons as well, so I had plenty of time. Maybe that was another factor. My PC auto shutdown twice in a raw last week because it got too hot and my wife mischievously laughed, she's so mean.

About the beards, same here. Though no one ever complained about mine, maybe because it's more of a stubble than a proper beard. And I agree it's worth it, facial and chest hair is so hot...

Lol I love cortez' quotes, my favourite: "GET OUTTA HERE!!...I like the view as you walk away". That's totally worth another playthrough.

nice to know I'm not the only Bi guy that has had that experience, most gay guys scoff that two straight men if left to their own devices can end up doing it in the back seat of a car after a single malt scotch whisky appreciation night.

Yeah Cortez certainly has some good one liners, I wish he had more of them. Though as I have probably mentioned before: My shepherd lost his ME2 LI Jack, to the collectors. It would have been a nice touch when you are consoling Cortez over the loss of his husband you could mention that you too have lost someone to the collectors....and perhaps throw in the option to give cortez a hug....  perhaps show a moment during the embrace where Cortez  presses sheperd closer...

It would've been indeed a good oppurtunity for more bonding. But seeing how little ackowledgement there is for dead characters, I'm not surprised it didn't happen :/ Even in LOTSB dead lovers weren't mentioned by Liara, she acts as if they're still alive

Exactly, that is what I think the relationship should be working towards, Bonding. Instead of being a static thing where only after a few bits of dialogue and bam! you're suddenly in a relationship there should be options to strengthen the bond with the Li with the added dymanic of the your paragon and renegade levels - and bringing them into sync with your partners - or perhaps influencing your partner to make certain choices and to an extent the crew around you.

That would be pretty neat! I really think BioWare should make a "character dynamic" DLC or something like that. Expanding both LI and non-LI character dialogues and options. Perhaps solving the underwear bias for the foreplay scenes (hah). But mostly what you said about how the characters react to you being mostly renegade or paragon. Maybe being able to to do something similar to how you influenced Joker to be with EDI on other characters.
