Ohh and as for my list of fics, I highly recommend "That Went Well". It's very short but just ridiculously adorable, especially for all the fans of Grunt who treat him like he's Shep's adopted Krogan son!:wub::wub:

I just noticed you posted this. :pinched:

That was such an adorable little fanfic!

Because it's such a good pic

that fanfic is great - you know I always enjoy it when there is a Krogan in a multiplayer game. I really liked Grunt in ME2 - such a shame they decided to replace him with James - image having both of them on your squad. That would have Cerberus running for cover!

I'm glad you quoted that Tiberis, that was fantastic and put a good start to my day.  Much better than the Kaidan thread's convo this morning.

I didn't like Grunt till ME3, but I always loved Wrex. Steve's comment after Sur'Kesh always cracks me up "when a 800 punds Krogan 'requests" to co-pilot, you comply" xDDD I bet he liked Wrex though :D

I liked both Wrex and Grunt. I did kind of feel like a foster dad to him in ME2.

Yeah, I know! I was part of it too sort of. I don't even know why it's discussed anymore, most people are on the same page generally.

I like Grunt quite a bit and was happy to see him commanding his own squad. Wouldn't really trade James for anyone though. Still, wish Wrex could have stayed aboard and joined you. I know he had duties as a leader, but he could have done it just fine especially if Bakara lived. Garrus had responsibilities he was able to keep up with while on the Normandy, so why not Wrex?

Yeah, I loved that Balsto pic you posted. I think it was someone asking what we wanted/hope-for in the EC and I posted my "realistic" hope.

Found that pic browsing the web; laughed hella hard first time I saw it. Just wish there wasn't so much silence over it. All we got was "we're gonna expand this crap sometime in summer". I hate the silence! :crying:

It's almost June and I expect EC to come out early July. Not long! Hopefully it will have more Steve in it

I think we'll get more hints soon at least a article or two. I hate the silence too but I'm hopeful that they took the time to see what we wanted in the EC.

That's what I'm hoping for. Like I said in that post in the Kaidan thread, the silence could mean they're trying to focus and make a genunie product or it could mean they just don't want to hear our opinions on something that they may just be treating as casual. Either way, no matter one's opinion, it is a waiting game at this point.

For some reason, the song "Bulletproof" from La Roux fits my current attitude towards BioWare and this whole ending debacle.

I think they understand that the EC is the BW's last chance to keep the loyalty of fans,  I'm willing to wait for this . And I'm also hope that E3 2012 will give us more information about Mass Effect and not only about MР.

 a little bit Steve's for tonight :P

We know they started production on it almost a month ago now, so I don't think it'll take until Sept unless it's going to be HUGE (which I'd love but doubt) or they are just doing it part-time between other projects (Which I doubt but fear) .

I think they are taking this seriously, I too hope E3 will drop more info for the EC or even announce the launch of the EC as a event there.  Hopefully they'll hint plans more Mass Effect games sans Shepard.   Mass Effect IP is big enough for more than one group of heros and as much as I'd miss Shepard & crew more stories in the ME universe would be nice if done right.

Unrealistic but I love one idea from the IT guys: Shepard wakes up and the cruicble fires but doesn't "kill "the Reapers.  It just weakens them for a conventional war.  Meaning they can expand the war across multiple games.   I like the idea because more time with Shepard means more time with LI (Steve & Kaidan so far) and more games to play.   Cheesy yes, but I'd let-it-go for more ME games.

I've heard about that and I find that the most appealing. For one, it removes the star-brat and the RGB crap. It would give us the opportunity to actually use our war assets. And for BioWare, it's an opportunity to cash in on because I for one would buy either DLC or a new game that expands on something like this. Sure it betrays the whole trilogy idea, but frankly in the larger scope of things I'd rather they expand the story than close it up like they did now. They created this whole universe with characters we've fallen in love with. They can't blame us for wanting more, right?

*waves @ Angelwave*

The Reaper War deserved more than one game it's a huge galaxy... at war!   To do it justice it should have been split up into at least two-games + DLCs.   I know I would have lapped it up like a kitten to milk.

Really "Trilogy" can be used a little more loose today than in the past.  They could have pulled a "split-trilogy" and I doubt too many would care.  I've seen more than one book "trilogy" split up into more than three books.   ME1, 2 and 3 could be "Part 1: The Invasion" of the "Trilogy" then ME4, 5, 6 could be "Part 2: The War Years"

Ah, dreams of what could have been... :crying:  all my dreams, torn asunder.

Ah, I love you too Tiberis.   I want more time with Shepard and crew... not prequels or side-quels.   Not yet at least, I need more time with the crew I've grown to love first.   Later... after Shepard and crew have sufficient closure then I'll be ready for a new protagonist and crew.

Yeah I agree. With proper closure I would be open to pretty much anything else set in the ME universe. Would you be open to the idea of an ME game set in the time of the First Contact War? I think that would be a pretty nice setting, getting to witness humanity discovering alien life for the first time.

Given proper game time with Shepard & Crew. Yes, a First Contact War prequel would be a game but I want more games AFTER the war too. I'd love to play Shepard's son (or grandson) helping defend the rebuilding galaxy from pirates and mercs.

Not exactly sure on the mechanics on how Steve & Shep (or Kaidan & Shep) could have kids but it's the future

I don't think games taking place after the war would include anything specifically Shepard-related. Just like the whole ME movie concept, using Shepard is a huge risk because every single player has a different idea of who Shepard is. Maybe some tadbits on this or that, but everything would have to be vague.

I think we had a short convo on what reproduction would be like this far in the future. :pinched:

I'd like references to Shepard games set in the future, maybe an option to play Shepard's offspring if Shepard lives. If not then maybe a war orphan who took the last name to "Shepard" in honor.

yes, we talked before and I agree we don't know what the future holds for S/S reproduction options but hopefully something good.

I'll admit, would be pretty cool. But so many variables if they made it so you could import an ME3 save into it, moreso if its far into the future.

Actually the convo was pretty much summed up with a general assumption. Since apparently people can be rebuilt (Shepard), grown from tanks (Korgans/Grunt), and actually customized (Miranda/Oriana) it can be safely assumed that one could take the genetic material of both partners and artificially create a child regardless of gender.
