Hey now, don't you be picking on my Kaidan! i love 'em both for different reasons to be sure, but I love 'em both.
Yes you can (in Skyrim). But the romances in Skyrim are like 5 words and bam, you're married lol ;PKunari801 wrote...
I never finished Skyrim, I didn't know you could have a s/s marriage.
I love a loyalty type mission for LIs, more character development for our LIs would be nice. A mission for the VS would be nice too (I know the VS can also be the LI).
I'll try to ask where they got 33IsaacShep wrote...
and Bioware.ru says that Steve is 33, although I don't know where did they got this info from. Elijah, where are you when we need you?

I don't blame you, both are great guys and it's hard to pick... but Kaidan was my "first love" in Mass Effect so will always hold a special place in my heart. Steve is the hot new fighter jock that makes me /swoon.Bronxboy wrote...

Why? California isn't that great. I mean yes, SF is probably the greatest city ever, but everything south of Monterey gets hot and stuffy and people get generally more angry and inconsiderate the closer you get to Tijuana.Kunari801 wrote...
CA?! Now I'm jealous in more ways!
"Married" in the legal sense, no we're not, there is even a state constitutional ammendment preventing it. Emotionally "Married" yes.
Exactly my point! I find Kaidan's reservations to be a big part of his character and I think it, sort of, excuses why he could say or do anything in ME1; dev choices notwithstanding. The overall majority of people who actually play the game and are fans of the series don't seem to care or actively support it. That's pretty darn awesome. Though of course those "pro-family" groups who don't even know what the game is like just see there's homos in it and whine and scream because they are somehow wronged by it. I really do hope it sets a precedent for future games, well at least for other EA and BioWare games (if I ever decide to buy more of either that is).Kunari801 wrote...
I think all the characters are all well written. I mean just look at what a few years in gaming did, in ME1 Kaidan was supposed to be bi but gotunderstandablyscared off. Now in ME3 they have two gay characters --not bi-- gay and they even made Kaidan bi as per their original plan. Not screaming from the rafters gay, just two normal humans who happen to be gay. That is the greatest part I see about Steve and Trayner, and it is a testament to their writers that made these two characters human without resorting to gay stereotypes.
I don't mind that Kaidan is more reserved and shy about showing his feelings to mShep, he's always been shy and reserved (to either sex of Shepard) so it fits. That part of his personality, at least partially, is he was planned to be bi in ME1. That's just my opinion of course. His background as a L2 and one of the first Human Biotics also plays a huge part in that personality
The reactions to Steve & Trayner have been better that I expected, sure the bigots are out there but in smaller force and seems to be more ignored this time than I think they would have been just a few years ago in ME1's release.
That --I hope-- speaks well of our future and to see more characters in games like Steve & Trayner.

Lulz, mostly LA-thinking yes. I've been to San Diego a million times since I have family in El Cajon. I suppose the SD area is a small gap in the overall LA-like attitude in SoCal, but marginally so. I meant no offense though.douale wrote...

Grrr... I'm a stone's throw from Tijuana in San Diego and we're not hot, stuffy, angry or inconsiderate. Well, maybe hot, but definitely not the rest! You must be thinking of LA. :-P
Speaking of hometown pride--do we ever find out where Cortez is from originally? He was stationed at Ferris Fields but I didn't get the impression he was from there. His voice actor, Matthew Del ******, is from New York, so I'm guessing Steve's American? (or from the "United North American States" or whatever)

Well that's pretty much every state in the south, but I will guess Georgia?

Ah, SD is a pretty nice place; the waterfronts especially. But we would have to travel into the city because my family preferred the much hotter El Cajon. <_<Kunari801 wrote...
No, I'm just two states to the east of CA.I lived in San Diego area for a summer when my big brother was in the Navy, my sister-in-law didn't want to be there alone with the kids all summer. It was fun!
Same; the EC will be either the breaking point or their atonement.Kunari801 wrote...
True the gamers seem to accept it easy enough. I only know one gamer who made some negative noise about Steve's arc.
The EC will determine my future purchases from BioWare / EA.
I pictured Cortez from SW USA somewhere, Arizona or So Cal.

That's not very far from El Cajon and I'm certain it's better because at least you get a sea breeze. el Cajon sits right in a little valley so it keeps all of that heat and sunshine in. You can guess I'm not a big fan of hot weather.

I lived in Lubbock, Texas for about ten months. Dry as hell (we were in a drought for a bit even), hot, and I survived my first sandstorm. Let's not mention the size of bugs down there. I'm not going back. . .Kunari801 wrote...

Utah's problem with me isn't its dryness, or any weather. The Mormons scare me.
