Because I'm biased, Steve likes to dance to this and this. I can take it farther and say he would also like some Kpop.

@Kunari
I thought the "romantic" music was sort of sweet. The sad tone is to keep up the whole "galaxy is ending" theme which I thought was fitting.

When I have been doing my fan art I have been listening to Chopin piano works - the Nocturne in C minor is a personal favorite of mine, I also listen to some Tchaikovsky and the second movement of Franz Liszt's piano concerto in E flat - that movement has a real tenderness to it *. Also I really liked the Afterlife club theme that you could hear the first time you set foot on Omega in ME2 - that song puts me in the mood ;)

*though the performer in the youtube clip really doesn't get it right...I am a classically trained musician, I have standards. I have a recording of Gerogy Cziffra performing it and it is simply sublime.

I like the Purgatory music so I imagine Steve and Shepard do too but yeah, you need other music than just house and I like the piano love scene music in ME3 so that'd work for them.  Though it seemed a little "sad" for a romantic scene to me, but so did the ending animation music "A End Once and For All" I think it's called.

I think it was more 'melancholic' than sad, I liked it, it was sweet

There won't be any kids made in this ending xD But there'll be lots of fun

What other ME guy do you think would fit Steve? -> you can't pick Kaidan or Vega! :P

offhand, I can't think of any other than Shepard...perhaps that guy he
was ogling at the club where he and shepard kissed for the first time. Though that depends on if he is gay in the first place.

I can't even remember how that guy looked like xD But I do seem to remember that he was checking Steve out :P

Too focused on Cortez were you? hehe. As I recall Jacob was expecing a child at the time where Steve and Shepard were getting intimate. So I don't think he would get involved with Cortez.

Yeah, melancholic works.  Don't get me wrong, I love all the piano tracks in ME3 actually I like *all* the music on the ME3 soundtrack.  I was able to extract the Purgatory music since it's NOT on the sound track --bad BW bad-- now just need to convert it from OGG to MP3.

The only one I think may not fit the emotional tone that BW wanted is the "A End Once and For All".  The song is beautiful but I've seen the ending animations with the more military-sounding "The Fleet Arrives" music and it does evoke a different emotion that is less sad/depressing feeling too.   Note: Song titles may be wrong

The saluting crewman, I could see Steve hooking up with him and Joker is going to need someone to help him get over EDI's death.

True, providing you chose the destroy ending, which is one of the reasons why i'm hoping that the SP DLC will include more of an epilogue and follow up decades later on the characters that crash landed at the end of the game. maybe they re-develop the mass relays, or prepurpose dormant ones .And shepard comes to rescue the stranded crew of the normandy...

Check the Epilogue link in my sig, it got me through the ME3 ending as I was pretty shook-up with the stock endings.

I think they would really look good together ... :)

This makes me realize just how few human men have a large role in the game. :|

Donnelly seems like the most compatible.

Conrad Verner maybe? :pinched:

Hackett's kinda old! xD Kasumi would be a good part if she was a guy :P They both had to deal with loss yet they're also absolutely ready to move on and notice cute guys (Steve notices Shep and Kasumi notices Jacob) :D

My Shep was busy checking out that caramel ass to notice any other guys in the club

True but it's all hypothetical anyway and since I hate this entire "cheat on FemShep and get another girl pegnant" thing with Jacob, I pretend it didn't happen and he's available xD

Well, I have this headcanon DLC character (me) who is somewhat nerdy scientist who uses onmitool to incinerate, overload and "tech-warps" things (has some anger issues) and is rescued by Shep with his team of scientists from some random planet... And is gay. And does Steve if Shep is to dumb to do that... M.

Interesting headcanon; very AU-ish. :P

Ken is firmly in the "likes boobies" camp if you listened to his chats with Gabby in engineering. If you saved Kaidan instead of Ash you don't get the dialogs with a fix to your save file.

To be honest I don't really take everything characters say to mean anything concrete. Most characters have and will likely make heterosexual-oriented comments because the game is made by mostly heterosexual men. Only a few characters deviate from this; Steve and Samantha especially. Dusty obviously knew what he was doing because Steve is damn awesome.

I haven't finished my game with the "fix" for the engineering dialog but IIRC, Ken and Gabby hook up in ME3.  If so, I'll take that as confirmation.    I like Ken a ton, but he doesn't show up on the Gaydar.

hmm does gaydar work on fictional characters? Cortez certainly didn't have any immediate visual cues to his sexual orientation...thank bioware for that.

Yeah I know. But when asked who would Steve possibly date other than Shep there are so few characters that could even remotely be considered bi or gay. So who's left? That dude at Purgatory Steve was looking at?

Also what "fix" do you speak of? The only way to go around this is if you saved Ashely and are good friends with her. Only like two of my saves have her surviving Virmire and I'm not too earnest in carrying over those saves,

No, since everything is pre-programmed. Most already knew Cortez was gay before they got into the game if they kept up on the development of ME3. For new players I suppose the first sign would be when he told you about his husband but that's it. Steve is awesome for that reason; his sexuality is not central to his character. As it should be.

Steve has the best story-line for the romances and/or friendships. My heart just breaks when he's crying over his husband's sound recording. I know he's fictional, but it's hard not to care about the guy.

My thoughts exactly, I have seen Games where gay characters were portrayed as being feminine. I'm glad those days are over.

Same here mate, that is the primary reason why I hate the ending for ME3,(spoiler) depending on the ending you choose Shepard either dies or he survives but Steve ends up crashing on some unknown planet with the rest of the Normandy crew - either way one is left without the other and that makes me sad...the idea of leaving Steve.

I know the  "and they happily ever after" story ending smacks of Hollywood BS, but after all that Shepard has been though is it too much to ask that he have at least some consolation* for all he has done at the end? - providing he survives at the end.

*especially if it involves some nekkid sexytime with his/her LI:devil:

Fix for Engineering Convo's if Kaidan is your VSUse Gibbed to edit Integer10330 to 8 (Default is 0 I believe)

So far the above it working fo rme, Ken, Gabby, and Adams all have had more to say but I'm just getting to Rannoch.

Gaydar doesn't always work in real-life either.  He pretty much says he lost his husband on the first convo so no real time to get-to-know him before he tell you he's gay.   I must say that in ME1 Kaidan was showing on the Gaydar at least I thought so.   I stopped following most ME3 news about a year ago now because I didn't want any spoilers.   I knew there would be s/s relationships and a few other details, I did not know Steve until he told me in our first convo.

Yes, Steve and Samantha are both great characters in that they are human first and their sexuality isn't their primary attribute in game.  They're both more than just "a gay character" and both blow the lid off the gay stereotypes.

I normally can't keep myself from learning about something I love as much as I do Mass Effect, but like Steve's character arc, I suffered a illness & loss in the family (not my Husband thank God) but it kept me away from news on ME3.  I was playing Arrival --for the first time-- and it will always remind me of the phone call that started the whole personal-arc.

Needless to say, Steve's arc really pulled at my heart as I could *so* relate to what he was going through I :crying: right along with him.

I feel ya! When he first told me "I feel so lonely" my Shep wanted to grab him, make out with him right there in the shuttle bay and scream "But you have meee!!!" :crying::wub:
