I have to admit that I've got a problem with some straight women/girls supporting gay men, I feel it's like straight men watching attractive lesbians making out and then fighting for gay rights, but this comic point out the very good work BioWare did with Steve. Is very difficult to avoid sterotypes and cliché when you're working in a videogame.

If I may ask, why? I suppose I can understand to a point with Yaoi/Yuri (Which is what I think of when you say some.) but I don't think sexual oerintation has anything to do with wanting equal rights for all. LGBTQIA makes a very valid argument and includes everyone within a populus. However, I agree with you on the comic in that Steve is not stereotypical or cliched at all. He represents a homosexual character very well and isn't defined by it. Looking at him you would never figure him to be "gay". Which reminds me of one of the most amazing quotes I read quite a while ago. "Homosexuality is Heterosexuality. Heterosexuality is Homosexuality." Which makes a point of sexuality isn't defined by outer appearences or characteristics but rather personal inner preference.

I understand you perfectly and I didn't mean that sexual orientation has anything to do with wanting equal rights. It's just that sometimes I see teenage girls that believe they are "open minded" because they read Yaoi/Yuri comics and the way those comics "use" homosexuality to appease their straight public makes me sick.
Anyway, this is a totally friendly, perfectly troll-free Steve support thread so l don't want to start complicated arguments, just sharing some Estebanlicious appreciation!

There really is no true "sexuality".
A homosexual is just as healthy as a heterosexual. The same goes for a bisexual.
It's
a natural occurrence in nature. Animals are the same way. You have gay
bats and gay penguins too. You either are or you aren't.
I didn't
choose to be straight. I woke up one morning and said "Dang, that girl
looks great." People don't wake up and decide to be gay either. Same
process.
Under no circumstances is any type of homosexuality a deviation.
The
only time sexuality is unhealthy is if you are harming people directly
or indirectly and without consent (I won't go into details but you guys
are smart enough to get what I'm saying).

I should have specified that that was a response to the quote Music posted.
I thought it was a great quote and wanted to vent as the mistreatment of Steve in the story forum frustrates me deeply.
Miranda's been having a rough time too.

These last few days have been so dumb on here.
Steve is getting hit. Miranda is getting hit.
Frustration. Everytime I log on.

Oh no no! I wasn't trying to attack you or anything I was just curious. And I totally understand that's what I figured you were saying. It's just like those middle aged women that read 30 Shades of Grey and think themselves as way more open minded. Makes me kind of roll my eyes and have a chuckle about it. Well the use of any sexual content regardless of oerintation is pretty disturbing, but as it stands sex sells.
Yes of course! *offers hug* I wasn't trying to troll you or bash you I truly was curious and I was simply offering, I thought, a well mannered counter to your argument. But then text doesn't differentiate from curiosity or hostility. So sorry if it seemed hostile, I wasn't trying to be ^^;.

No problem, didn't detect any hostility, just wanted to explain my position. I hate to sound a little bit... "bellicose" sometimes!

Maybe you have Steve's evil twin onboard your Normandy.

I just know that I keep my eyes on Steve so his evil twin can't sneak aboard.
