Oh you!

Miranda is the only female love interest I liked in ME2. She's so totally amazing and I loved how she starts opening up more and more throughout the course of the game. So there ;P

Steve is sad that no one is in the thread! Also I'm curious, do you guys see Steve as a more aggressive or passive lover? o:

Edit: Oof...Ninja'd XD. I agree, I would very much like Steve to play an important role in the DLC. I think I'll be more annoyed if there's no romance specific dialogue though <.< I really want to see Steve be very concerned if you're in an active romance with him.

I have to admit that I've got a problem with some straight women/girls supporting gay men, sometimes it feels like straight men watching attractive lesbians making out and then fighting for gay rights, but this comic point out the very good work BioWare did with Steve. Is very difficult to avoid sterotypes and cliché when you're working in a videogame.

If I may ask, why? I suppose I can understand to a point with Yaoi/Yuri (Which is what I think of when you say some.) but I don't think sexual oerintation has anything to do with wanting equal rights for all. LGBTQIA makes a very valid argument and includes everyone within a populus. However, I agree with you on the comic in that Steve is not stereotypical or cliched at all. He represents a homosexual character very well and isn't defined by it. Looking at him you would never figure him to be "gay". Which reminds me of one of the most amazing quotes I read quite a while ago. "Homosexuality is Heterosexuality. Heterosexuality is Homosexuality." Which makes a point of sexuality isn't defined by outer appearences or characteristics but rather personal inner preference.

I understand you perfectly and I didn't mean that sexual orientation has anything to do with wanting equal rights. It's just that sometimes I see teenage girls that believe they are "open minded" because they read Yaoi/Yuri comics and the way those comics "use" homosexuality to appease their straight public makes me sick.

Anyway, this is a totally friendly, perfectly troll-free Steve support thread so l don't want to start complicated arguments, just sharing some Estebanlicious appreciation!

Does anyone know if there is a hi-rez mod for Steve? Not that his face doesn't look great as default.  Not that I can get TexMod to work too well anyway.

There really is no true "sexuality".

A homosexual is just as healthy as a heterosexual. The same goes for a bisexual.

It's a natural occurrence in nature. Animals are the same way. You have gay bats and gay penguins too. You either are or you aren't.

I didn't choose to be straight. I woke up one morning and said "Dang, that girl looks great." People don't wake up and decide to be gay either. Same process.

Under no circumstances is any type of homosexuality a deviation.

The only time sexuality is unhealthy is if you are harming people directly or indirectly and without consent (I won't go into details but you guys are smart enough to get what I'm saying).

Oh no no! I wasn't trying to attack you or anything I was just curious. And I totally understand that's what I figured you were saying. It's just like those middle aged women that read 30 Shades of Grey and think themselves as way more open minded. Makes me kind of roll my eyes and have a chuckle about it. Well the use of any sexual content regardless of oerintation is pretty disturbing, but as it stands sex sells.

Yes of course! *offers hug* I wasn't trying to troll you or bash you I truly was curious and I was simply offering, I thought, a well mannered counter to your argument. But then text doesn't differentiate from curiosity or hostility. So sorry if it seemed hostile, I wasn't trying to be ^^;.

Yes...more Steve is always welcome!

Edit: Indeed, no one is debating that. I'm a firm believer that you are born with your sexuality, you just discover it as you age and mature.

I should have specified that that was a response to the quote Music posted.

I thought it was a great quote and wanted to vent as the mistreatment of Steve in the story forum frustrates me deeply.

Miranda's been having a rough time too.

It is very moving. But it also brings out a lot of frustration.

These last few days have been so dumb on here.

Steve is getting hit. Miranda is getting hit.

Frustration. Everytime I log on.

Hmm, that is troubling. I've seen many hate threads before and have skimmed through many threads that BECOME hate threads. Some people are ignorant and the mask of being anonymous makes many forget there are actual people behind the computer screens that have feelings and opinions that might differ from theirs. I will never understand any of the Steve hate/generalization just as I will never comprehend any of the Kaidan/Ash hate or any other character for that matter. I know people are shatting bricks over Steve getting content but why is Miranda getting hit? Just random occurence I suppose? *sigh* At any rate I don't want to further fuel the flames.

Let us instead discuss/appreciate Steve, shirtless, fixing the Kodiak...I have no picture of this so just Steve shirtless I suppose xD.

No problem, didn't detect any hostility, just wanted to explain my position. I hate to sound a little bit... "bellicose" sometimes!

Ah whew okay good then. Yep I totally understand where you're coming from. And think nothing of it my good man! I thought I had said something to upset you!

Now then...back to Steve...Uh...*gets a random ambient dialogue quote* "Close quarters huh? For once I'm jealous of your squadmates." "Sure. Next time we could try UNDER the bed, if you'd like."

NOOOOOO! ....That looks like Adams xD. Haha no I just think I missed it is all, or it didn't trigger when I went to talk to him after Rannoch. Totally starting another playthrough and planning to romance Steve again hopefully I won't miss anything this time!

Hahaha, yes! This is totally a feasable excuse to constantly stare at Steve.  "It's nothing personal Lieutenant, I just have to make sure you're YOU."

@Jonata about straight people pandering (yaoi fangirls and yuri fanboys stereotype), I also have a gripe with that, so I understand. Well, I'm straight, tried to like girls in highschool because it was "cool" back then but learned that I can't.But I like the Steve and Shep pairing (and Kaidan with both F!Shep and M!Shep), not because of gender (woo two hot men getting together awesome!!!), but because they're good together; in my eyes they just...fit, like two orbits eventually gravitating towards each other. Each person can stand on their own, but together they become much more. Yes, pictures of them together are hot, but without the chemistry they wouldn't be as "hot" to me--all pretenses of their love-making would be lost to me. It's different to fetishize gender (woo hot men x2) from appreciating the beauty of their chemistry, which is also why I like Kaidan with F!Shep. And you're right, the fetishization of gender by straight people bothers me because they think they're supporting homosexuality when they don't know that they're actually self-serving and stereotypical (which is why I have a problem with the purpose of the asari as a whole...and Sam's shower scene, sad to say).

@Taboo Miri haters? Let me at 'em :'D Love Miri (want Miri and Kaidan as my dream biotic sentinel team)~ And I totally agree with your sexuality argument. We all have our preferences. I like the color blue because I feel fuzzy when I see blue; there isn't any other reason I like blue, and like sexuality, it's a visceral, innate thing that isn't forced. Some people like Steve as a pairing with Shep, and some people don't. I just wish the people that don't like Steve understand the meaning of preference, and not rain on the parades of Steve fans. Hating doesn't validate the character or pairing you support in any way.

@Music talk to Steve right after the Geth dreadnaught mission to geth (haha...err yucky joke) that banter with Steve~

But awwww <3
