And I'm serious.
You'll see in few days after ME3 Demo is out me LP-ing all 6 classes in Insanity.
Don't except for me to fail any of it, but Vanguard.

I wouldn't recommend it.
Combat has changed since ME2. The omni-blade, the cover mechanics, better enemy AI, etc. I'd recommend you try it at a lower setting initially to "get" the changes, then do an Insanity playthrough if you want to give it a shot.

I never do my first playthroughs on the hardest difficulty but I'll be making an exception for ME3. I, as a player, want to feel the difficulty and frustration that Shepard is feeling when fighting the Reapers. It wouldn't feel like the final and epic conclusion if I 'm able to blast my way through every fight with ease.

Even bigger challenge:
Complete the game with just a Predator pistol. On Insanity.

I don't call cheap CPU advantages on higher difficulties challenging.ncknck wrote...
Well, if most encounters will be as difficult as that Krogan Battlemaster fight on Therum in ME1, i bet you will lose that challenge.Bioware CAN make difficult games, if they want to.

This may be the geekiest thing I have ever posted on BSN but... anybody else getting that 300 vibe from this thread?
Priestly: No, it's too hard. You need to slow down! Get a feel for it.
BSN: Priestly what is your profession?
Priestly: Game designer, I thought that was obvious since I work for Bio-
BSN: Game designer. GAMERS! WHAT IS YOUR PROFESSION!?!?!
BSN: AOOO! AOOO! AOOO!
No? Just me? I'm about to have a kid so go easy on me.

That fight wasn't difficult. That fight was cheap.
If you spammed the right CC's at the right time and made sure you had a durable squad then you were fine, but if you took a split second too long to knock the Battlemaster on his butt or missed a refresh on Sabotage and Damping you were screwed.
It was a poorly designed fight more than it was a difficult fight.
