I never thought I'd say this, but I have serious doubts of buying any more Bioware games, ever.

They keep saying that they're not doing anything else re the endings, but so many people are so p*ssed off still. I'm not sure that BW can just walk away from the sh*tstorm. Either some of the DLC is going to have to try and do something, or the next game, will have to try and clean up the mess. I know that they've previously said that ME3 was the end of the Shepard story, but they need to use ME4 afterall.
Either way, if they do nothing, and things remain as they are, and the next game is a completely new story, with new characters, then I'm afraid I'm out. I've loved BW games sinces Baldur's Gate, but this will be the end for me.

lets hope that isn't the case
alot of people have mentioned that mass effect is shepard(at least posted) I agree but also the me universe is very big and diverse, so having a new main character woudn't be hard
I personally like to see femshep return for 'one more story' Bioware can introduce the next main character towards the end of the game, maybe in a mission where you meet that character its a female if play as femshep or a male if you play as maleshep
Am sure with shepard in me4 sales would be better than with a new character and at the sametime me3 is being released for the WIIU. Now, am sure if sales are better than expected for it bioware probably release me2 for the wiiu and would make a better case for having me4 with shepard
I will continue to buy their product for they make great games,it would be hard to accept there might be no more shepard
last thing,if you were to ask all VA's about voicing their characters again they wouldn't hesitate in the least

If the end of the story had been done right this time around then I wouldn't be pushing half as hard for more Shepard in the next game.
Suppose the other thing to remember is that they said that it's the end of Shepard's story, not necessarily that of the other members of the crew. A lot of them are going to be high profile figures amongst their respective races - Tali with the Quarians, Garrus with the Turians etc. It's possible that even with no Shepard that we still see a good number of the existing cast either in terms of cameos or supporting roles.
As I've said previously - I'm not against the Shepard story ending. Just not like this......

How does he know what happened? he says some of the details have been changed/lost over time but the only one who can give the details is shepard(high ems destroy)
no one knows exactly what happens on the citadel except shepard tim is dead and anderson died
the other odd thing is when LI puts up the nameplate, why isn't there a slide showing a grave for shepard or some kind of monument
now I know am just speculating but at the sametime am trying to be optimistic

They really should have taken out the stargazer scene in the EC. I still don´t know, what that scene tried to accomplish.themikefest wrote...

Regarding the grave... Well, Shepard got disintegrated. I know that there are RL empty graves, that family members go to for mourning. But I consider the Normandy as Shep & Anderson´s grave, since they both were captains on it. And captains never leave their ships, hench the nameplates...

I hate this FemShep.
It looks like a slightly more feminist version of Billy Idol.

I do not want to see Shepard in the new Mass Effect project because BioWare has said that her story is over. I'm getting quite fed up with BioWare going back on its word all the time. If you say that you're going to do something, then do it. If you say that you're not going to do something, then don't.
Also, Shepard's story has come to a conclusion, as it was meant to. Her story is over with and I'd like to see them step away from her and into other things in the Mass Effect universe. I do not want BioWare to bring her up in anything or reference her in any way mostly because I fear that BioWare will create a "canon" Shepard. If that happens again, then I'm out. I'll never trust another BioWare game or announcement again. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. I don't want another Revan fiasco.
As for the project itself, I wouldn't be surprised to see an MMO released. After the intense promotion of ME3's multiplayer and the emphasis that BioWare Edmonton has put on the multiplayer component, I kind of expect the new "main character" to be a player-created one. I just hope the studio doesn't bastardise the universe or Shepard.
As for Sam, I'm not sure we'll see her in any DLC and I'd be very surprised to see her in ME4 in a role that's substantial to the game. In all honesty, she is a fairly minor character other than what she did after Thessia. It makes more sense for the developers to give the other characters more attention.

I really enjoyed the ending. It was more or less what I thought was going to happen other than the galaxy winning the war. I thought Shepard was going to lose. The Extended Cut made it even better.
I still don't know why people don't like it either. It just baffles me.

BW have backed themselves into a corner with the f*cked up ending(s) to ME3. I'm not sure they can afford to just ignore this issue.
Can't see ME4 going down the MMO or prequal route - it'll be sequal, just a matter of whether it's direct or farther into the future.

I was enjoying the ending up until the space elevator.....
Also, for a game built on choice and consequence, the lack of real choice grated. Effectively I get to choose how Shepard dies.
So much more could have been made of the 'sacrifice' theme - that decision really should have been put in the hands of the player - incentivise them to make that call, rather than just arbitrarily imposing it across all endings.

It's because Mass Effect fanboys are looking for happy endings because they know nothing else.
Give them something unexpected and the sh*tstorm begins.
