casper wasn't what I expected(could've been done better)
yes I do want femshep to come back more to give her proper closure and at some point me4 can introduce the next main character in a small way--this is my opinion if am wrong(good possibility I am)
I will accept whatever comes next from bioware
For Sam-she might be a minor character but she does major things
1-gives us grisson academy--without that students die and Jack dies at tims base
2-ex-cerberus scientists-without that they die along with jacob
3-able to track cereal boy to sanctuary
no other character on Normandy provides that much info or intel
yes you still get the best ending without doing the first two
for being a minor character Sam kicks major A** and that is why my femshep likes her
Sam being a LI and not getting any new dialogue in dlc is BS(what makes her less important than the others)
Sam for new character of the year award!!!!!

It's because Mass Effect fanboys are looking for happy endings because they know nothing else.
Give them something unexpected and the sh*tstorm begins.
For some that's probably true.
As I say, my gripe is in the imposed sacrifice and the botched job of exploring that theme. Shepard giving her life would have mean't more to me if I'd had the opportunity to make that call for myself. Incentivise the player, put the decision in their hands. That theme doesn't stop with Shepard either. The assault on the beam at the end was effectively a suicide mission - the perfect opportunity to put a decision back into the players hands - who to take with you and almost certainly consign to death. Instead, you just take your London squad with you and they survive anyway thanks to the Normandy's rescue. If choice and sacrifice were important at the end, then BW dropped the ball. It could, and should, have been done better. The final mission just smacks of being incredibly rushed with obvious opportunities passed up in order to get the product out of the door.
The tacked on 'rubble' scene at the end of 'Destroy+' just makes things worse - the 'happy ending' brigade will say it's not enough, while others will argue that BW shouldn't have given that concession at all.
Personally, I think that whilst the 'Destroy' option is just about palatable, that, along with 'Control', 'Synthesis' and 'Refuse' endings, are all worse than just ending it with the 'best seats in the house' scene and having the Crucible arm itself and take out the Reapers. Less choice, but a better end than the ones we ended up with.
Re Sam for best new character - absolutely!

What I wasn't prepared for was the complete departure from everything and "hey, let's throw in some Deus Ex Machina lolz".
Bottom line is this: They changed the original ending from dealing with dark matter to whatever the current clusterf*ck is. Casey Hudson and Mac Walters basically threw the first two games out the window and wrote up their own ending and didn't get it peer reviewed. IT SHOWS.
It's sh*t writing and that's really all there is to it. Go read what this guy has to say about it and you'll understand why I despise the endings so much.

I think that things would most likely have turned out a whole lot better had Casey not gotten himself so impressed with the ending of Deus Ex: HR.......

I just posted this on my blog if interested-I mention Sam a couple of times
Good read that.
Always wondered why Sam never got a goodbye at the FOB, via comms, but I guess she had her's on the ship (that final scene). From memory, I don't think any of the other characters who go down to Earth with you get similar scenes on board the ship do they? You also get one with Joker on board the Normandy as well, so it just looks as though they divided them up - goodbyes on the Normandy to those who were staying aboard, and then goodbyes down on Earth at the FOB for those that went with you.
I actually liked a lot of Priority: Earth - loved the idea of the beam run, it just conveyed the sense of urgency and desperation perfectly. I do have problems with the ending, but everything up to that point, no complaints.
Lol, not a fan of Liara then?!

Her presence is needed on the ship for my Jane & Sam 3-way.themikefest wrote...
I don't mind Liara, its that through the whole game her focus is mostly on the crucible,so in essence she would serve better being with Hackett than being on the Normandy allowing another character to be on board.
Her dialogue on Mars is lame especially in the combat sequences
